thanks guys. still debating. I have enough blackout kush seeds to last me a good while. the only reason I would want to cross is if it truly will make a stronger plant than blackout kush by itself?
snow white is a female
it's a shame that I have to do this, but I'm killing the blackout kush male. he's three weeks old today. his pollen sacs are already starting to hang and open. RIP.
He was a beautiful plant though very green, lush and very symmetrical. I guess one benefit from growing 12/12 from seed is that you don't spend that much time in the company of males. I'm almost at week 8 of vegging and I still don't know which ones are the freeloaders!
thanks man. that's one of the best benefits of 12/12 from seed. I gave him a quick and (hopefully) painless death this time around instead of letting him decompose under our deck like I usually do. which do you think the plants prefer? I've also planted another blackout kush seed. let's hope for a girl!
I think your disposal of the male was fitting and proper. I, on the other hand, let them die a slow death on the compost pile after they've been ripped from the pot. I cannot tell you what plants prefer but if I had a choice I would rather go in my sleep and if that's not in the cards, then make it so quick, that it was over before I could realize WTF was happening.
6 weeks and 5 week old today. the plant on the right is 6 weeks old. I can't seem to save all the leaves :/ I gave extra nitrogen to try and save the leaves, but all that did was make them curl a little.
I'm betting they are fine. I've had a couple that did the same thing at the same time when really ramping up flowering. Dropped and faded some fans and then she carried on.
Me and my plants are loving the 150w. My sour d girl is bulking up and bending away from the light at a foot away cause all she had was cfl's on her before. Right now its pretty inefficient because she was 12/12 from seed like your girls and I didnt get any branching. Thats probably cause she is sativa and stretchy as well. But her top nug looks like an indica chunk.
