420 Magazine's Nug of the Month Contest: February 2010

We are now accepting nominations for the Nug of the Month contest.

Please submit a photo of your best nug (there is a separate contest thread for plants.) The nug must be your own, either purchased or grown. Optionally, we'd love to hear about the strain, taste, aroma, potency, effect, weight or any other frosty details that you're willing to share.

Once all nominations are in, we will begin voting for a winner. The contest will be open through the last day of the month.

Each first place winner will receive 50 extra rep points and the title "Nug of the Month Winner". Second and third place winners receive 25 and 10 points respectively. Monthly first place winners are automatically eligible for our prestigious "Nug of the Year" contest; to be held in January.

Also, submit your best high resolution photos to photos@420magazine.com for publication in 420 Magazine's print edition.

Rules:

1. Contest entries must be original photos of your own nug. The nug photo may include several nugs or a cola.

2. Entries must include ONLY photos of the nug. But you may add one photo as a reference point for size or a closeup/macro.

3. Maximum of two photos per member. Updating photos throughout the month is not allowed.

4. Remember to upload your photo through our Photo Gallery before posting it on this thread.

5. Nugs must be "dry" and in "ready to smoke" form.

6. Self-nominations only.

7. Competition is open to the first 25 entries.

well alright then, here is my Blueberry Smack strain. Grown Under CFLs. she was entered last month in plant of the month but i guess she wasnt what everyone was looking for in terms of PoTM material... ne way here she is!!! Good luck to everyone this month.

Smoke report: Sweet musky undertones followed by tart blueberry taste with a surprisingly smooth finish

This is killer bud from my second harvest, I'm sorry I don't have a journal for this one but this is the best bud i've grown so far. I have no idea but based upon pictures, descriptions and bags that the seeds came from(bagseed) its got to be either Trainwreck or Sour Diesels. Fuel smell real sticky and dank. Dense nugz. Hits hard making your eyes crossed. You wanna sleeeeeeep!

Wow the postings have just started and the competition is already fierce, I bet Larry Flint would blush with all the bud porn here.
I think I'll throw these into the mix, I don't think I'll have much of a chance but it gives me the opportunity to show off my hard work and the payoff. The bud is Northern Lights #5, she grew for 102 days and flowered for 63 with a 4 week cure, mason jar. I just smoked a bowl where I could tell you something and now I can't remember why I smoked it, oh yes duh the smoke report. Crap I'm stoned. The smoke is full bodied and very smooth and only cough when I try to take a super hit. The taste is very sweet, like a snow cone thanks to bud candy with the same long lasting after taste, I can also taste an earthy, woody undertone. The high would be, well lets just say it's taken me over an hour to type this. The high comes on pretty quickly and is hard hitting, very strong in the head with a body numbing effect. I would much rather sit here and look at my computer thinking of what I want to say instead of just doing it.

I think you have some great looking buds, but the pics aren't doing them the most justice, perhaps is you have the macro thing on your camera? Either way, I love the way they look.
