SCROGs coming out tomorrow. I’m excited now. With the 3 hours of light that 1 Jack had after trimming, you can tell she loves it. 3’ bamboo stakes on the way.

Can I do anything with these long ass “limbs” I’m cutting out, with them being in flower. I feel bad. Lol!

Reveg? Or keep them flowering and see if I can get them to root. The 5 big clones I have rooted in 10 days.

Naw, I can only have one more legally since that one clone didn’t make it. I throw everything i cut in an open paper sack to dry. With the mites and all I wasn’t sure what I’d do with it all. Thought about washing it all and adding it to my next soil mix.
Need to do some reading on it I guess.

They are almost 3’ tall from the dirt...
After messing with them all afternoon, I think they’ll be able to hold theirselves up just fine. Still getting stakes, but’s it won’t be as bad as I thought.

Couple morning bud pics from the Jacks. I think these will finish off before the Afghans and the 47s.

Things are bulking up on the Jacks. They smell super sweet like berries.

Gotta belly crawl to the back for a sniff! Frost is spreading nicely in there. :thumb:
Yeah it’s a nice sight. I can’t get over the berry smell of the Jacks.

I’m not a fan of citrusy smelling buds, so we’ll see about the Afghans. They smell exactly like Pinesol. Very strong smell and sticky as ever. Maybe it’ll mellow out with age.

I have 1 Jack fully separated from the scrog, and about halfway with the other. Just trying to take my time so I don’t stress them too much. The other 4 should be a lot easier since they are a lot more sturdy. The Jacks have very thin stocks for the size of the buds.

So in pulling this scrog I noticed a bunch of the main fans dying off. Is this a normal process of the flowers taking the nutrients from them as you mentioned before @InTheShed?
This the only on the Afghan and Jacks. Not really a whole lot IMO.

This is from 2 plants so far.

Lower fans will die as part of the natural growth process of any plant. They usually turn yellow first as the plant pulls the carbs from them. The fans ravaged by mites will also die, faster and without the yellowing as they aren't healthy to begin with.

If you're losing upper fans, that's a different story.
Naw, no uppers. I started noticing tip curl on a few but lifted the lights. I’m still dialing in the new ones.

Any concerns with pulling the plants out into the basement sunlight (indirect) while I trim and support them.

Part of me says to trim every weak looking fan off of the Jacks up to the top 2 sets. These things are crazy. They need to be grown like grape vines. They smell awesome! FN regret not keeping clones.

How hard is revegging? I’m about to clean up the the other one.

Once you get roots, it's all about patience. This far into flower it could take a couple of months to go through reveg. Best is to root them and not worry about what they look like until you see regular 3-bladed fans. Then it's vegging again.
I had so many in the beginning but ended up chunking all 20-30 of them because I wasn’t ready. I didn’t like the way they looked vegging being so thin. Might just buy seeds then.

Not money, but crucial. We might be moving back to Texas next year so I figure I have a grow or two in me before we do.
