ACE Killer A5 Haze

Alright time for some updates. Be ready for a picture overload. I finally got my scrubber and circulation fans in and got the tent completely set up. However, in the meantime I ran into some problems. For whatever reason this plant just does NOT like the full intensity of this light. Shortly after my last update I cranked the solsheet up to max capacity. Within days she started dropping and her leaves started striping. It looks very much like a mg deficiency but it’s not. It’s definitely related to the light.

I have turned it up, and back down several times trying to rule out alternative possibilities but it seems to be directly related to the light. When I dim it down she starts recovering and peeks up, turn it up she droops and looses color in her leaves. This is happening

I have a new SF1000 arriving today, so if need be I’ll swap it out, although I haven’t completely given up on this light just yet. I’m going to let her continue to recover over the next few days and start SLOWLY increasing the intensity, little by little... until I reach max capacity or she starts stressing again.

As of now we are in day 4 of 12/12. The new growth is coming out better, but you can clearly see the damage on the lower leaves from last week.

First, here’s the tent all wired up.

scrubber installed and I tried to zip tie all the wiring up and make it as clean as possible.

Here is the KA5H, as you can see she took some damage from the light but the new growth is coming out better and overall she is perking up and recovering. Lifting her leaves, etc.

Also, I’m trying out something new. I put some pothos cuttings in the hang on back filters a few weeks ago to help with reducing nitrates in the water. They rooted extremely quick, as in 2 days. Now pothos roto easy anyway, but typically it takes a week or two in a simple jar of tap water. In comparison putting them directly into the HOB filter they rooted ridiculously fast.

Im assuming it has to do with the constant warm water temp of 84 degrees, the constant flowing water through the filter, and probably the nitrate rich water filled with bennies doesn’t hurt either. So I took a bunch of cuttings off the KA5H as well as a moscas C99 BX1 reg I popped awhile ago. It just sexed our recently and is a female, So I’m going to try to fit her in the flowering tent with the KA5H. I’ll just flower her out small, i transplanted her into this one gallon a few days ago and I’ll give her a few more days to get her roots into the new soil then try to prop her up in the flower cab somehow back in the corner. It will be interesting to see if she’s also sensitive to this light like the KA5H.

Your set up looks great Ozz. :thumb:

Thanks 1ne eye!
Here’s the girls together. The KA5H stretched considerably overnight and looks like she’s happy now, regardless of the earlier light burn.

I just put the C99 in there a moment ago, so it will be interesting to see if she has the same issues with the lights.

Good morning ladies! Rise N Shine!

Lookin good man!!
I’m in love with your stealth under the fish tank grow!! :headbanger:

Thanks homie. I actually sold that armoir and bought this 2x2 tent. The height is sooo much better. Also I just got in my new light, the spider farmer SF1000. I put it right in there because I’m convinced there’s something wrong with this solsheet. Weird growth even with it dimmed way down at 30” away. Just bizarre. We will see if the plants improve tremendously after installing the new light. They seemed to like it today, I installed it about8 hours ago and have been watching for any adviser reactions and so far so good

Day 14 12/12

No noticeable pistils yet but she has stretched and grown significantly. I installed the new spider farmer SF1000, currently about 24” away from the canopy. Over the next week or two I will slowly lower the light to 18” then 12” once she starts throwing pistils. She’s been so light sensitive I don’t want to shock her so I’m going to take it easy until she starts ramping up.

Also my fish tank filter clones have rooted, very well in fact. I took the best two and put them in soil yesterday :)

The fish tank clones are doing well also after being out into dirt, KA5Hs in front and a C99 in back that was just put to dirt an hour ago

Day 26 - ish

She’s stopped stretching and is pushing pistils. I grossly overestimated stretch. I thought I was in for it with all that root space. She barely stretched maybe 6” on the mains overall. Either way we are off to the races and yield will be considerably better than I had in my tiny grow armoir
