Brandon420's Living Soil 2022 Second Run

We live vicariously through you. :laughtwo: Mph!

I ran some brickweed Colombians in a barn under metal halides back in the 80s, but it's just the indoor 4x4 these days.

I'm curious about your pheno hunting. To what degree do you test them? Is it all visual and aroma, or do you test each plant? Or screen them first and then test only some of them?

In my experience, 90% of a group will be average, a few will be good, and maybe ... maybe you get a standout.
The plants that pass the checklist for the veg and flowering grow cycle move on to the individual testing. Whether it be hash wash and then smoke or testing flower by smoking.

Also, if a pheno passes the grow and flower checklist, it will get moved on to expand moms and clones for a second test run of at least 1/3rd dep bed per pheno.

We were only running 80 plants so we were able to number each of them and take cuts. It took a couple years but we found maybe 6 that made the cut, 2 that were truly special. As you pointed out, some were too much hassle to grow - didn't clone well, or had a poor habit, etc.

You folks start out with good genetics to begin with. :cheesygrinsmiley: Wondered how it sorts out.

:Namaste:

Beautiful work like usual and the pictures are breathtaking as well. It’s always great looking at the farm you’re growing bro. CL🍀. :thumb: :bravo::welldone::drool:

You keep those 2 winners alive??

Yea, it’s a whole lot of numbering and cloning on this scale. A lot of killing plants too.
A lot of organization and constant movement all at the same time to keep clones/ moms alive of the pheno while simultaneously finishing out the originals and testing

Some pollen collection from a Yellow Passion fruit today

Also a peak at the females pollenated with The Beach pollen about 2 weeks ago. Moved them from the tent to the porch to finish off outside.

Alas, they got destroyed with the rest when it all came to an end. :laughtwo: Oops.

Pre-'90 select Lumbos - those woulda been keepers, yep.

#7 was a perfect Gold - tasted like Thai Stick.
