Can I freeze living soil?

Hi all. I live in Canada and it gets pretty cold up here for the next 5 months. I have some "Kryptonite" living soil and Pro-Mix HP in bags that I wont be using until next spring. Is it OK if this stuff freezes over the winter months or will it kill all the microorganisms in it?

I believe that stuff is activated with moisture so if it’s dry u should b good I would think, and I’m sure ur soil outside survives through the winter so I imagine ur fine

You will be fine. Soil bacteria been freezing and burning for billions of years now. They are not as sensitive to temps as hoo-man.

It will be fine but it would be alot better if you could take that same soil, keep it warm and moist, start a cover crop, add worms and rove Beetles, inoculate with mycorrhazae and just let the soil grow the next 6 months.
Would be nice and alive when you need it and ready to start a plant.

It will be fine. I buy extra bags in the summer for when it comes time to do my winter tent grow. I take them in a few days ahead of time to warm up a bit and haven’t had any issues yet
