not much going on yet. two of them are showing sex its a fem of course its the tallest ones those are the super sour lemon OG autos and man they are growing like crazy!

man those super sour lemon OG autos are growing so dam fast I had no choice but to low stress train the shit out of them I got those babies bent back so far I was worried they would snap but its all good they seam fine and I am sure they are in to a little S&M by tomorrow they will be back standing up wanting more

I am trying to save the money to get a 5 stage reverse osmosis water filter system that I will be hooking up in my bathroom I want it for a few reasons

I am so tired of binging up cases of water bottles up a few flites of stairs for the family that shit is a pain plus it will save money in the long run on buying bottled water and lets no forget the benefits for it for water for the plants if it all works out

holy fast buds batman look what I got in the mail! I just received the rest of the strains that I won from the fast buds mega film contest that I took part of and won third place with a fast buds girl scout cookies auto plant that I grew at the end of 2016.

I would like to thank fast buds for holding such a awesome contest and to everyone that took apart of the contest there were 32 growers in total all battling it out to fight for the top 3 spots to claim title of champion and I managed to grow my way to the top and take third place in the contest

it took a while to get my prizes but since it was a lot of stuff I can understand and I am cool with that but it was well worth the wait I now own a 3x pack of every strain fast buds makes all 19 strains and lets not forget the very cool fast buds merch I got as well

I already have a few of the strains growing right now in one of my grows I cant wait to try them all

well I had a few things happen since my last update I went to install the hps bulb and turned it on and after about 5 minutes the bulb stopped working man that sucks that's the second bulb I have had fail on me before but one of the times was my fault I forgot to wait to let the bulb cool before I turned it back on rookie move but this is my first ballast type set up I only grew with led before

so for now I still have the 600w MH bulb installed and believe it or not I thought I blew that bulb too last night I was up late and thought I heard my lights in my tent go off and I was right one of the pins was stuck half way up on my timer for my ballast so who knows how long my ballast has been turning off at the middle of the light cycle for 15 minutes every night

I am just glad my only MH bulb shit my only bulb period did not blow out I ordered a cheap hps bulb online just waiting for it to come in the mail and I am going to try and get some more back up bulbs

well back to the plants they are doing just great growing super fast its only been 5 days since m last update and they all have gotten so big and that is a good thing for me if they get too tall I will do some more low stress training

these autoflower plants got plain filtered water that was ph. to 6.7 with citric acid I watered them just enough to not get any run off

my puff puff pass girls are getting bigger by the day so I moved the plants around and they are now showing signs of preflowers and I just in time since I just got my 600w hps bulb in the mail today my last one failed so I had to get a new one and I also ordered a back up today better to be safe then sorry so I installed the new 600w HPS bulb and its working great

more great news I installed a 4 stage water filter under my bathroom sink so now I can give my plants filtered water its not a R/O water system basically it just filters the water thought a sediment filter a few carbon filters and a carbon polishing filter

it will help get rid of the chlorine in the water and other stuff that's not desirable in the water without stripping everything out of the water and there is no water waste since there is no R/O water membrane that's the part that wastes all the water and if I want R/O I can always add it on to my system I have installed

these autoflower plants got filtered water that was ph. to 6.7 with citric acid I watered them just enough to get a tiny bit run off I gave them a special treat in todays watering I gave them some roots organics oregonism xl I used 2 tablespoons in a five gallon bucket of water and gave to all the plants in this grow and I used the rest in my closet grow

I did some lite Lollipopping on my plants to clean up the bottoms a bit I will do some more once they get a bit bigger I try to do the Lollipopping in stages since these are autos are sometimes can be a bit sensitive

time for the second half of my canna cigar experiment! so I wanted to do a experiment and try and roll my own canna cigar just for fun and science!

I took some bud on 5-10-17 I harvested from my last grow and basically just took the bud and wrapped it around the chop stick. the bud still had a nice stickiness to it so it should work good and it has been curing like that since 5-10-17

its now 6-3-17 and I was removing some lower leaves from my plants and thought it was the perfect time to finish my second half of the canna cigar and took the biggest fan leaves and cut the biggest fingers off and put them in a container

I took a bunch of old wax containers I had that still had small amounts of wax in them and used the wax as a glue to hold the ends of the tips of the leaves to wrap around the bud that was curing on the chop stick and once it was all wrapped up

I carefully rewrapped the now leaf-wrapped canna cigar I did it slow so I could make sure not to overlap the strings when I was wrapping it back up I just wanted to make sure I got a good wrap on it lol

so its all wrapped up now I just have to wait a few more weeks until the leaves dry and cure and since I have the cigar in a mason jar it will do it nice and slow

I mixed up another batch of super soil today! here is a list of what I used in my super soil mix this time.

batch was made with

18 lbs. of master organic worm castings
1.25 lbs. Bat Guano--------------------- (0-7-0)
1.25 lbs. Bone Meal-------------------- (3-16-0)
1.25 lbs. Blood Meal--------------------(12-0-0)
3 tbsp. Epsom Salt
1.5 tsp. Powdered Humic Acid
1/2 cups-kelp powder
1.5 cups Alfalfa Meal
1.5 cups Oyster Shell Flour
1.5 cups kelp meal
1.5 cups-Azomite
1/2 cup Mycorrhizal Fungi
1 cup Potash

this was mixed with 2x 1.5 cubic feet bags of Dr. earth pot of gold all purpose potting soil and about 1 cubic foot of Vigoro perlite but I might add some more perlite later and was hand mixed by me and a friend in a 55 gallon tote that I got from home depot once it was well mixed I added 2 and a half gallons of filtered water and mixed it up some more and put on my porch to chill until its ready

on a side note when I was adding my worm castings to the super soil mix I found quite a few small worms in the worm castings still alive in there when I was breaking up the bigger chunks to make sure it was mixed well not sure if there will stay alive being in that soil on the hot porch but if they do awesome

once it done "cooking" in about 45 to 60 days basically its just giving the soil time to break down the amendments so that plants can uptake the nutrients in the soil a bit easier

this mix will be used only at the bottom half of the pots and I will fill the rest of the pot with plain potting soil and plant my seed or clone in to that so it will have time to establish roots and not get nute burned

everything I used to make this super soil I got at home depot or eBay I got the super soil amendments premixed from eBay and I also got the worm castings from eBay everything else I got at home depot the soil, the perlite and the 55 gallon tote

time for the quick update of my canna cigar experiment!

so today I got a chance to see how my cigar is doing after I did the first layer of leaf wrapping on the canna cigar that I did yesterday and after only one day the leaves were starting to form really well on the cigar. so I decided to do the second warp of leaves and what I think will be the final wrap on the cigar well at least I hope so lol

this time when I wrapped the cigar with the leaf blades I made sure to have the leaves facing up just for looks and I also found out if you use fresh leaves. like I did you can carefully cut part of the vein off the back of the center of the leaf just make sure not to cut the leaf blade

you dont want any holes in the leaf blades it helped when it came time to use the wax as glue since it now had a flat surface so it could stick better and also kept the leaf blades from popping back up since the veins made the leaf blades more ridged

after it was done being wrapped with leaf blades for the second time I wrapped the sting around it to seal the leaves hopefully for the last time and will let it cure for a few weeks if I can wait that long lol

these autoflower plants just got filtered water that was ph. to 6.6 with citric acid crystals I am starting to see a little yellow developing on a few spots on some of the plants so I will give them a dose of Cal mag with there next watering to see if that helps

its pretty cool that the plants are looking this good considering that these plants have only gotten plain water from the start of this grow with no help of any extra nutrients added other then what's already in the super soil mix

that super soil is doing its job nice so far I cant wait to see how they do in full flower like I said it looks like they need a dose of Cal mag but other then that they are doing great

the canna cigar experiment is almost done!

I just checked on my canna cigar I unwrapped the twine and it looks great so I am going to leave it unwrapped I put the canna cigar I made in my wooden rolling box so I could take some pictures and let it breath a little bit before I put it back in the jar to cure a bit longer

I got a chance to weigh the canna cigar since I forgot not measure how much bud I used when I started the canna cigar experiment it came out to 7.7 grams holy crap its heavy lol

once its done curing I will do a smoking update I am sure its going to take at least few friends and bit of time to smoke it all

these autoflower plants just got 3 gallons of filtered water with a tablespoon of botanicare Cal mag that was ph. to 6.6 with citric acid crystals

I noticed that the light was a bit too close to the plants and was as high as it could go since the carbon filter was in the way so I did some rearranging and turned the carbon filter to face a different way and it works so now I was able to raise the light a bit higher and still have a bit more room to go a bit higher if I need to but I think wont

I also did some more Lollipopping to the plants I took some of the branches at the bottom plus water leaves they look cleaner and will give me more air flow down there I took some before and after pics to see what I removed
