Dennise's Back With A Vengeance

Well I did get three of them potted up obviously and put back in the tent and it’s really quite a shame I didn’t go ahead and pop another bean and have nine because it would have fit perfectly but it’s too late now I’m still gonna have to wait on weirdo but she’s starting to look normal and grow so I’m going to let her and just wait a while to flip to 12/12 I’m not in any hurry but my other bags should be delivered tomorrow and I can get that last one potted up and then we’ll just be on auto drive….. :circle-of-love:

I gave up on gummies, too. Here is what I got with my last effort:

320 gram Strawberry Gummy.jpeg

I cut it into the serving sizes that I needed. It was a lot easier than fussing about with those little gummy molds.

And, I'm sorry to hear about the snake. I, personally, love snakes but if I found one in the kitchen sink, I think I'd be kinda freaked out, too.

I hope your husband can help you feel safe again after he goes through all the cupboards.
Actually that looks amazing to me. It looks like a big piece of Laffy Taffy. At least yours looks mixed up…….. :circle-of-love:

It wasn’t exactly in the sink it was slithering through my pots and pans that had been washed and were in the drying rack. I had to make dog food and my pan was on that tower. When I went to reach for the pan he lunged at me and I lost it. I won’t even go in someone’s house that’s got snakes in an aquarium. I’m literally petrified of snakes. I was bite by a cotton mouth at Sardis Lake in Mississippi when I was a kid and nearly lost my leg. Really don’t like snakes…..:circle-of-love:

It was a baby and that doesn’t make me feel better at all it just makes me think if there’s a baby there’s more babies and a momma. There’s nothing on earth I’m more afraid of than a snake. I still feel like I’m going to throw up…. I’m shaking like a leaf and can’t stop…. It was literally slithering thro the dishes in the drying rack. I had to make dog food for tonight and went to grab the pan that was on the top of the rack and it lunged at me or I probably would have never seen it. I’m gonna roll up 3 or 4 and see if I can stop shaking and the water will not stop coming out of my eyes… I know I’m ridiculous but I really don’t like snakes……:lot-o-toke:…..:circle-of-love:
Plants are looking good , think I read you live in the country. You may have to get some Guiana hens or some other type of domesticated fowl to help you with snake problems

Thanks.. I’m going to have to do something or move and that’s not going to happen….. I truly live in God’s country. Hubby’s been gone this turn around for 3 1/2 weeks. I can cut the grass but I’m not allowed to play with the weed eater so that’s only been done once all year. He’ll be home Thursday and once he gets all the weeds and grass knocked down around the house it won’t be a problem. I’ve lived here for 17 years and only had it happen once before and it was much worse. I had been in NY and had all my dogs with me but when I came home a snake had shed its skin and it was longer than the entire opening of the kitchen door. It had to be at least 6’ long. Hubby had a friend come to the house and go through everything cause I wouldn’t even sit on the couch much less lay down in my bed. Hubby found it under the house when he got home. It took me a long time to get over it…. I really don’t like snakes….. :circle-of-love:

I finally got the last girl potted up so everyone except weirdo is in a 5 gal felt square… I’m loving the square pots… I could have easily gotten 9 girls in there… would have been a jungle in flower but I’m good with that… I’m gonna let weirdo have another week or so and I’ll throw her in flowering soil and be done with her. If she gives me a buzz and only one so be it. She’s trying and is noticeably bigger today than yesterday…. The auto QP is definitely in bloom so I guess she’s gonna do what she’s gonna do too….:circle-of-love:

Well weirdo got potted up and she definitely looks lost but her root ball was amazing. Sadly she lost a couple of leaves thanks to Titty Tat wanting to help but hopefully it will just get more light to the bottom sites and they will grow in a hurry. I don’t plan on giving her enough time to really catch up but she does need to be a bit more mature….. :circle-of-love:

Back to tending to the vegetable garden. It’s not near as enjoyable as the indoor garden and a heck of a lot more work but figured I’d rather be safe than hungry and I have wasted a lot of my property by not being willing to deal with more cows and livestock and not using the land by the house and canning but it really is like work and that’s a 4 letter word plus I hate breaking a sweat….:circle-of-love:

I'd love to have a nice big garden!

But I'd hate to be stuck taking care of it for months on end!

Ugh.

:laughtwo:

Like having a dairy cow. Sometimes a guy just doesn't feel like it, but ... ya gotta.

I could not agree more. However the MSM here is dropping their fear porn about food shortages and we’ve had over a dozen food plants get bombed catch on fire or have airplanes flown into them two of those in the last month so I don’t like doing it but I have this love of food I really like to eat so when you live on a farm and you’ve got as much property as I do it’s only logical for you to grow your own damn food when they’re telling you there’s not gonna be any food…… :circle-of-love:

it's also fresher, better tasting. you don't have to drive to get it or feel bad if it goes bad before you eat it & paid big bucks for it
You can also give your extra produce away
Lay down some cardboard & mulch to help with the weeding , also helps preserve water

When I grew next door in the yard with landscaped backyard with rock . I would open a seam in the fabric ,put a plant in & push the rocks back
grew 10 lb watermelons with no weeds

Hubby’s gone to get more pro mix for the outside garden. I’m growing organic and non gmo seeds and I’m basically using the same as I use in my indoor garden. I’ve got 30 seeds in pods to sprout and I’ve got a few that have rooted. I think once the bed is ready I’ll just plant straight into dirt. It’s worked well in the past and this is the first time I’ve used the plugs and I don’t think I like them….. :circle-of-love:

I’m going to give the weirdo time to let those bud sites down at the bottom pop up some at least give her some canopy and then the lights are getting flipped to 12/12. I know she won’t be very big and I know she’s not gonna produce much but I’m tired of waiting….:circle-of-love:

Hubby’s back off to Blowes. They had ProMix coir which is fine. I added all the amendments I add to my indoor garden and the mixture looks amazing. I really wish I could just put my indoor garden out there. I hope veggies like it as much as my girls do. Blowes just started selling ProMix and it’s dirt cheap but of course it’s not ProMix HP…. But it’s only something like $15 a bale and I have all the amendments & a lot of Yum-yum.
This is much to much like work and 4 letter words are insulting to me…. I actually broke a sweat and that’s something I hate to do so I’m thinking it’s gotta be howdy doobie time….…:smokin: ……:circle-of-love:

Don’t have any dairy cows but if there is a food shortage I’ll have plenty of beef and pork…. I love me some pulled pork… actually that’s probably my favorite food on the planet next to baby back ribs which is what we’re eating for dinner….. there’s a farm back in the hollow that has a dairy farm and I’m pretty sure they would be up to some bartering…:circle-of-love:

How did the snake saga end? Can you use the kitchen yet?

Good morning everybody. It’s a beautiful day in paradise. Garden inside is moving right along. The garden outside still a lot of work. Hope you’re having a spectacular day….. :circle-of-love:
