Endive's "Chance Um!" Bubblelicious - LED Grow - 2010

Re: Endive's "Chance Um!" Bubblelicious, LED Grow - 2010

Thanks guys!

Though I made quite a few mistakes early on in this grow, It's worked out. Seems like what I've learned is exponential to the number of errors made. I eagerly look forward to planning the next one!

These are from day 24 of 13/11:

S-3 (left), Bel (right w/yellow leaves)
Bel is showing signs of nute deficiency, however it's not nearly as bad as it looks in the pic. Due to the spectrum of the LEDs it shows really yellow orange. Under daylight you can just start to tell the older leaves are fading.

S-2 Low maintenance... Gotta love it!

But, it ain't over yet...

Re: Endive's "Chance Um!" Bubblelicious, LED Grow - 2010

Day 27 of 13/11.

By my calculations, the time release added into the mix has just about expired. I figured it good for about 2 1/2 - 3 months. Thus I've began to ramp up the feedings of a bit.

N & trace nutes:
FF Grow Big @ 1 tsp/per gallon, 3x/week)

P & K:
9-59-8 @ 1/4tsp, 3x/week
0-10-10 @ 1 Tbsp/per gallon

Molasses:
1tsp/gal 1x week
Plain water as necessary

Bel Yellowing up a bit more than I'd like...

Re: Endive's "Chance Um!" Bubblelicious, LED Grow - 2010

I'm currently trying to keep what appears to be a Mg deficiency at bay. I'm working to get my pH up a bit I'm about 5.6 - 5.8.

Beyond that, all is well.

Bel, sprayed (trying to only hit the leaves) with epsom salt & water.

S-2 is thickening (and stickying) up nicely since I upped the nutes.

S-3, like Bel (same pheno) is only beginning to show a little yellowing, but continues to flower on nicely.

Re: Endive's "Chance Um!" Bubblelicious, LED Grow - 2010

Well, I got nervous and flushed Bel and S-3. I'd been targeting pH for hydro (soilless) and was doing well, but now with the Magnesium deficiency in full swing, I rechecked and realize it had got away from me (down at about 5.2)

Finished the flush with pH'd fert solution @ 50% strength. I really, really, really hope they green back up. Otherwise I'm at a loss.

Ohh the ladies are looking beautiful, I am liking it man. Are you still using the PG140? Are you using full spectrum or just the bloom? :yummy:

Thank you Anomoly!
Yes, full spectrum. More light is always better! The 140 has good penetration and coverage, and the spectrum is doing very well with flowering. Now if I can just keep the ladies alive & mostly green for a few more weeks...

Re: Endive's "Chance Um!" Bubblelicious, LED Grow - 2010

Sadly, about two weeks shy of being done, I made the decision to cull Bel from the group. I was running out of horizontal space and while S-2 & 3 keep growing thicker, Bel is not. Tried placing her outdoors, but we are now having consistent frost in the mornings.

I think the additional space will be beneficial in the long run.

Very nice looking buds man! Lots of trichomes. Those are nice macro shots what kind of camera are you using? Looking to get me one to take good pics of my ladies under led. My phone camera ain't cutting it lol

Re: Endive's "Chance Um!" Bubblelicious, LED Grow - 2010

Thank you Jackel420,

I am amazed at how with 2 or 3 weeks left to go, they are rock hard and still fattening up.

As to the camera, it's a Sony Cyber-shot TX5 10.2 MP. Waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. Quick start, an incredible panorama feature, great close-up and lowlight pics... Only tradeoff - it's only a 4x optical zoom.

I don't know much about cameras or photography, but it lets me easily take some pretty cool shots. It's my girlfriend's actually. May I never have to fight for custody of it if things go south. :wood:

Re: Endive's "Chance Um!" Bubblelicious, LED Grow - 2010

Yesterday, I was still bummed about chopping Bel early. I checked the drying bag and a few small pieces were dry enough to try. Though they smoked a little rough, there was enough of a spicy sweet aroma on the exhale to make it nice. The buzz takes about 2 minutes to creep up on you, but when it does - BAM! It's a very heady and energetic high. I'm hoping it improves with a little more time, probably won't thak the time to properly cure it though. - But I'm not so bummed anymore... :bongrip:

Meanwhile the thriving survivors: Day 44 of 13/11 (light/dark). The already rock hard colas seem to be getting thicker every day, the tent reeks of fruity-skunky goodness!

S-2 keeps getting frostier and fatter, throwing up calyxes and white hairs like mad.
2010-10-24_19-30-39_501_S-2.jpg

S-3 still has her yellow leaves, but continues to bloom like mad. She's been flushed, pH is in the correct ballpark, I know she has plenty of macro and micro nutes, but just won't green back up. With only 2-3 week left I'm not really going to do much about the yellowing and just let let her run her course till the major flush next week.'

S-3 my pale bloomer...
