On 4/20 I couldn't help myslef and bought an inexpensive light off Amazon from Farmilte. It arrived and assembled very easily, but I can't help but notice that it doesn't have an external driver. The entire fixture is quite light without it and it just seems questionable that it will work well. So far it functions and Par measurements make sense. But why does every other light have a heavy driver and this one doesn't.
Just for reference the Farmlite lights shown on Amazon today all have external drivers. In fact the light I purchased isn't for sale anymore.

don't see a driver in the pic.

it could either be a supplier with old stock or a counterfeit. around 60% of the grow gear on amazon is fake. only buy it from sellers you personally trust. one of the local shops even got a shipment of counterfeit lights. their own supplier was duped.

going through the board sponsors with the discount is often the best way now.
