hey everyone, iv seen some discussion on the "gas lantern technique" and the usual bashing from the side that hadn't tried it but unusually a calm well mannered confident reply from the side that were trying it .... so, my curiosity got the better of me i wanted to a,find out for my self if it works (any better than the good old tried and tested) and b,heal the world and end all war ... lol just kidding

so here's how it goes :-
42litre buckets
50/50 mix of perlite to gold label special mix soil
advanced nutrients sensi,big bud, bud blood, carbo load and overdrive
3 blue jack and 1 blueberry
450w 8 tube t5 for veg
veg cycle 12 on 5.5 off 1 on 5.5 off
1 600w hps for bud
bud cycle 12 on 12 off adding an extra half hour per week to the dark cycle

so as the story goes the plants should veg quicker go into flower faster and finish sooner producing higher quality product. WE SHAL SEE!!

tied over the tops with elastic bands

had to take a few cuttings from them a couple days ago they recovered well though

started to grow fast now another week or 2 and ill be ready to flip

had them out today for bug and anti fungus so i tried to get some things in the shot for size perspective. todays lesson , im not a photographer ! ha

must say, cant see any real improvement apart from maybe they sprouted flower a little earlier but im really trying to find some reason for it at all at this point

Really nice grow royy!

When do you count veg from? Have you just fed as well, last pic got some burns, they were darking just before , you could see it coming. Give em some water when needed.

Really good grow though mate, really fast veg!!

What is that ducting you have on the floor? I'm guessing it's fresh air intake since its positioned low.

When do you count veg from? Have you just fed as well, last pic got some burns, they were darking just before , you could see it coming. Give em some water when needed.

Really good grow though mate, really fast veg!!

i count veg from the day the cuts start to show growth. they grow quick under the big t5 but do stretch a bit tbf. I mainly only feed water but i do go a little overboard when i add nutes sometimes when theres not much goin on size wize, i suffer from impatience if i cant see growth everyday i think somethings wrong . thanks for your input dude every little helps

yeh i have my cold air feed coming up through the pots and direct it on the bulb it comes straight from outside so iv got them dimmed down to almost off atm with it bein f-in freezin over here
