Gas Lantern Routine

Grow Tents Secret Jardin DR 60 mkII for vegging (temporay thing we see how things pan out), eventually going to house the Big Momma of all plants, Secret Jardin DR 90 mkII for flowering.

Now to kick this journal off heres a pic of the cuttings in the new veg tent DR60 mkII eventually it may get used as a Big Momma plant tent some where in the future...
The 6 on the right hand side are Bubblelicious the 2 on the left are undentified sexed Blue Mystic cuttings.

Unfortunaly i never looked after the cuttings myself due to lack of kit at that time, whilst my insane friend Fluffy Nug tortured them with leaf clamps & sweaty cling film wrap around tent :bravo: if plants had legs they would run away from him... honestly

They are still alive with 2 very strong cuttings with lots of roots :thumb: another 3 should pull through & the runt of pack shall be destroyed.

Also currently looking after this...

Stunted runt dwarf Blue Mystic with twin apical leading stems, grew like that from seed & not a result of topping at an early stage of life...

Some of you may remember this ol journal...

1st Time Grow Organic - Bubblelicious

Various random cackling of a 1st time grower with some mixed thoughts on the matter at hand... some what more refined for the new grow i hope :cheer:

She stands at 60 cm in height at 3 weeks in flowering from today.

Please bare in mind no training was done on this plant, the first grow was purely watch 'n' learn & to provide cuttings from any successful girlie identified to continue the journey along the dusty path of enlightment & medication :Namaste:

After 2 days of receiving the cuttings back (2 weeks old aprox) & leaving them to settle in their new home the DR60, i've selected the the strongest Bubblelicious and as request by friend Fluffy Nug his 2 Blue Mystics have been placed in coco & repotted into 1 litre pots for some early veg 'n' root development.

Bubb's in Biobizz light mix & Blue mystic in coco both being feed with biobizz nutrients, a 50% strength of root juice & fish mix was used to settle em in.

As ya can see roots are in mixed state of developement some more than others & i'm sure they will play catch up very soon :high-five:

The Runts of the pack - off to the compost heap...

P.s This is the first time i've grown from cuttings :thumb:

I also suspect Ph problems with coco as i don't use Ph down as i've not experience problems with my soil grow so far & with a high alkline tap water PH ! although biobizz nutrients are in the acidic range of Ph 4 to Ph 5.5

Also i would like to mention that Fish Mix, Bio Bloom & Top Max are suitable for use with coco, going to have to expirement with Alg-a-Mic & Bio Heaven tho... :peace:

Great looking roots on the new cuttings!
What kind of plugs are those?

They are called - Root Riot - some advertising extracts as i'm not allowed to post strange links :peace:

1. Made from composted organic materials, these cubes have a great spongy texture which retains the perfect air/water ratio for healthy, rapid root growth. Suitable for both cuttings and seeds, they consistently outperform alternative media. The cubes are specially inoculated with micro nutrients to nourish the young plants, and also beneficial rooting fungi to aid root development.

2. These new cubes have a great spongy texture which retains the perfect air/water ratio for healthy, rapid root growth.
Suitable for both cuttings and seeds, Root Riot consistently outperforms alternative media. Root Riot cubes can help to deliver great results for every gardener. Available in trays and refill bags.

3. Perfect for dedicated soil or coco growers, Fleximix Root Riot Organic Starter Cubes are the organic alternative to Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes. Completely bio-degradeable, Fleximix Root Riot is a mixture of coco coir, peat and bark which has excellent aeration and drainage properties - perfect for getting your plants started.

4. Root Riot is a ready-to-go, organic propagation cube for use with seeds and cuttings. With the same dimensions as the '1-inch' rockwool cube they are suitable for transplanting into any growing system.

Composed of ground coir and an organic polymer their structure provides the perfect air/water ratio for faster, more vigorous rooting. Each cube is inoculated with the micro-nutrients and beneficial fungi necessary to give your young plants the best possible start in life. The cubes are supplied ready-moistened with a central hole to accommodate your cutting or seed.

In practice the cubes may require re-wetting on arrival, this should be done by soaking them in tepid water and allowing them to drain off. Should the hole in the block be too large to accommodate your cutting snugly, a new hole may be created to one side of the centre using a cocktail stick or similar.

For best results use in conjunction with a rooting hormone such as Clonex or Baby-Bio Roota - see related items.

looking good duck, what brand and size tent you got?

I'm using the Secret Jardin Dark Room MkII tents, i can not really fault em as they are good quality apart from the silly clip on bars for hanging lights on & filter etc...

The DR 60 is a new adittion to my existing kit - which may require a filter and 100mm (4 inch ) fan in time, ideally its good for mother plants etcs, but as a tempory measure its my veg tent at the moment :thumb:

The other tent i use is a DR 90, this will be my flowering tent for end results for the big bud :cheer:

The ultimate aim is a perpetule grow :peace:

I may customize a grow bag tent for tomatos from a DIY store as a clone tent in the very near future tho... :thumb:

Mmm... the numbers in model size of tent e.g 60, 90, 120 etc is Cm's so the DR 60 is 60 by 60 by 180 & the DR 90 is 90 by 90 by 180 pretty alright for short growing indica's & possible medium sized plants with careful training.

With current tent size i'm only looking at 4 to 6 girlies max at a comfortably spacing for my own MMJ needs

Quick Update - 6 days since cuttings have been home.

The cuttings are about 3 weeks old aprox, true age is unknown as before xmas lots of :tokin: took place & i'm sure most of this was for MMJ reasons...

Honestly

& a few days may have been lost here 'n' their.

Back to the report

Ye well, cuttings/clones ain't half slow compared to seeds over the same time peroid - thats all i can say about that really.

Thankfully i got time on my hands as the flowering tent is booked for another 6 weeks or more yet, with the resident guest Lady Bubblelicious & co her rather small slightly stunted Blue Mystic friend who was some what abused at a tender 'n' early stage of growth by Fluffy Nug the lord of popcorn my loyal side kick & growing companion :cheesygrinsmiley:

As for the Bubblelicious that has a flowering time of 8 to 10 weeks, its been on a 11/13 cycle for 4 weeks now & pistils did not show intill about the 5th day of the 1st week.

So i'm gonna call it 3 weeks of flowering & 4 weeks since 11/13 light change.

Bud sites are developing with 2nd & 3rd nodes beneath main buds sprouting pistils etc, the plant is rather dense with small branchs & the main cola could prove interesting once fully formed tho.

The Blue Mystics history is some what abused and never truely had a good up bringing as deserved by all Mj girlies

It was repotted from coco into soil once i recieved the girlie being placed straight into 11/13 regime & left to get on with it, it has grown a few inchs taller with bud sites packing on girth but i dout it will ever perform as well as a more mature plant would of a greater size.

None the less it shall fufill its destiny in my :roorrip:

I'll get some pic's up on the next weekly report on the 21st of jan

Yours truely - fuzzy :green_heart:

Here's some early bud porn to get ya taste buds juicey :green_heart:

A very dencense plant with very short branchs, could prove interesting.

I have 2 very strong contenders here as ya can see the other bubb's will eventually play catch up, i hope.

The 2 Blue Mystics in coco the 1's with a white label in pot, the very middle.

Well their parent plants have been gendered the wrong sex :yikes: ye some almost worthless male plant flesh in me tent...

Death to the males
,Which i shall keep one alive as a pet :high-five: to experiment on. To see if i can keep alive with Biobizz nutrients in coco with a nutrient feed i have no idea what the PH is ?

Yup in the land of Fuzzy :green_heart: we don't do PH stuff let alone run off... Its all jedi growing skills - we feel the force dude & let the green be with you :peace:

Another update...

Repotted the Bubb's this afternoon after 18 days since rooted cuttings where placed in 1 litre pots for early veg 'n' root development, i would of done this task last week end but their was a delay with delievery of new air pots.

The Bubb's pushing the boundaries of root balling.

Donated girlies of the Blue Mystic kind from Fluffy Nug Lord of the Popcorn for Fuzzy to  'n' nuture :cheer:
003774.JPG

You ever get that feeling you need more space ?
004731.JPG

The Bubb's will be my last soil grow once these girlies go into the flowering tent, i may not grow this strain again due to a dense christmas tree growth charactistic & high leaf ratio in the bud sites gonna be a pain to trim... but we will see how it smoke first :thumb:
I'm thinking of sticking em into the flowering tent in aprox 2 weeks once they have settled into new pots to make room for vegging the Blue Mystic's which will be a future grow journal with coco & biobizz nutrients.

Well you may wonder what happened to the two male blue mystics in coco, they remained healthy in the coco & biobizz fish mix/bio heaven nutrients with fine root developement. Unfortunaly i did not take any pic's for ya to take a gander at and was disposed off a few days ago...

But I'm confident i can pull off coco 'n' biobizz nutrient grow featuring the blue mystic's in a few months time once space is aviable in my erractic grow scedule :peace:

I'll get some pic's up of the girlies flashing some bud around feb 4th this will be about half way through the flowering stage aprox.

More Bud porn :cheer:

About half way through the essential bit...

6 weeks of flowering 7 weeks since light change to 11/13

Things kinda got feck up'd with my GLR, as i gotta make room for some more plants soon... once i settle into a normal routine with out... heres a plant for you to look after it dude of sort thing... i'll get their :thumb:

Anyway back to the Bud porn... the girlies are visiting Costa Del Bong Bong at the mo, thats some where in india i think ? on their camping hol's

Lady Bubblelicious showing her dense full booty form... it can only get better.

Those diddy lil 1 liter air pots in the middle are housing some Blue Mystic clones in coco for a future grow journal :bravo:

Nice lookin plants man those colas are lookin real frosty. Good job bud:goodjob:

The Blue Mystic has turned out fanstatic beyond my own expectations considoring whats she has been through, i got some of that lovely frosty sticky stuff on my fingers whilst having a look once - its got this soft sweet, mild fruity berrie smell to it

Whilst the bubbs often leaves the aroma of skunky fruity smell on my hands as i often fondle her buds daily :adore:

Really nice job on the ladies so far fuzzyduck!! Really like seeing that your using the Gas Lantern Method and biobizz....two things I have been curious about. I have tried bud grown with biobizz and definitely full flavored!!

Can't wait for more updates....

We are at the 10 hour mark with gas lantern routine at present, i've had to extend it a little bit due the bubblelicious long flowering time of up to 10 weeks.

Going to adjust to 9 Hrs 30 mins for the last few weeks/flush very soon :peace:

looks good, i want to get this strain going

Its a nice strain to grow to be honest & i'm quite looking fowards to developing my existing cuttings to a mother plant stage for a new journal in a few months time.

I've found it to be popular strain with a certain amount of growers for some reason & never really experienced any problems growing it yet !

I've found the seed/strain stable - god bless Nirvana for thier efforts of producing a quality product
