Grim's First Journal, White Widow, LEDs

Hey all, welcome to my journal!

Outdoor grower, just bought some tents and lights to get more personal with my plants. Aussie born. Bounce between here and Canada, hence the need for better weed in Aus! Wish me luck and enjoy.

Overview;

Strain: White Widow from 420.

Medium: Coco/perlite 70/30

Nutrients: Growth Technology A&B (Grow and Bloom), GeneralHydro CaliMagic, "420 Premium Bacteria" (that's what it's called, is mycrohaize~?~ in crystal form.).

Lights: Roughly 90watts LED for seedling / early veg / 700watt Mars Hydro for late veg and flower.

Temp/Hu: Temp drifts between 18c-28c. RH drifts between 65-75%

The plant is currently 33 days since 12/12, so this will be an ongoing journal.

Day 1

Dropped 4 seeds in shot glasses, worked away on my nursery box. Much excitement!

Day 2

Seeds all popped a tail, soaked the seeds in paper towel after 25hrs in the shot glasses. Took them about 12-18hrs for them all to sink to the bottom.

Day 4ish

After the seed tails where about an inch long I planted them in small containers with the coco mix. While rehydrating the coco, I added a mild amount of the nutes I'd be using to the mix.

Under the light they went, waiting to sprout.

Day 10 - 16th March

Babies all sprouted well, feeding them every second day with a good amount of run off, 1/2 Str nutes.

Day 14 - 20th March

Going strong, the LED panel is only 45w, so I figured I could put it pretty close.

Day 22 March 28th

Was excited to top a plant early, figured it would be close by so I could see the effects on it regularly.

4th April

The topping worked much better than expected ! Medusa'd the hell outta her

All plants doing well, I gave one of the girls away to a good mate, he was stoked.

7th April

Taking the girls for a walk outside. From memory, at this stage I had increased the water to daily feeds.

11th -16th April

Fresh seeds in the mail, gotta love those days !

Unfortunately I hadn't sorted my indoor grow space for all the girls, so it was back to the great outdoors for two of them. I don't normally plant out in Autumn, but after time in Canada, I found they are much more resilient plants than I first thought.

(Can't load photos of outdoor ground plant. Plot was around 100L of amended soil, mostly coco)

Idea is to trim it down when it buds, then hope it grows back with a vengeance come spring.

Topped girl that will stay indoors

Outdoor girl, will go into an Airpot and I'll move it with the sun.

20th April

The deference between the untrained outdoor WW and the topped LST Indoor WW is outstanding !

Outdoor plot WW (this photo is later on in its life than the 20th, but it seems to be the only pic I can load of her.. I keep getting an error message and an option to contact support. Will be the last we see of her in this journal)

28th April

Nice and bushy! The main girl is still in Veg, but the outdoor girls started to show pistils.

By this stage she was on nearly full Str nutes. I always under fed them just a touch below what the bottle says. (3.3ml~ instead of 4ml)

30th April

Last days in the Veg / Nursery box for the main girl, will name her Medusa from here forth .

I set up my first scrog net. I underestimated.. let's just say that !

10th May

Spent a bit of time setting up a tent and the Mars 700w LED, was over the moon when I picked this gear up. The tent is fun, putting the fabric over the frame.. ha! Would have been good to watch.

12th May

Didn't take long for her to push through the scrog, she loved the change of lights.

I set up a res tank and drip line to make it easier and to play around with DIY drip feed systems. I took it away after a few weeks, the idea of pipe gunk had me concerned. Might have just been paranoia.. hand watering doesn't bother me.

19th May

Tucked and moved all the branches to be under the scrog, unfortunately didn't take photos of the tucking from side to side. But it was looking pretty sad and strung out all over the place after I was finished with her, a few days later she was looking great;

22nd May
Flowers starting to form, plant still getting its stretch on but slowing down.

26th May

Stretch is no longer noticeable, flower formation is taking over.

By this stage I was weaning them off the "Grow" A&B and substituting the mls with "Bloom" A&B.

I want to get a bottle of BioDesiel, but still haven't picked it up.

6th June !

Now we are all caught up on my current grow.

I tried to keep it short and sweet, but please feel free to ask any questions and suggestions for future grows.

These are now passing day 30 of flower, I plan to harvest in another month or so.
