Updates ️

Gonna harvest in about a week, pretty excited, has been my first indoor, proper grow so it's all a little new to me. Planning to water with just plain water for the last 3 days and harvest prior lights on, have been reducing nutes for the last week.

Non WW updates .

Being new to indoors, has taken a few months of tweaking and gathering the goods. Upgrading my lights made all the difference, and I notice now how slow my plant was growing under a 45w panel during veg.

These girls go outside for a few hours of sun each day, a collection of; 4x Next Gen mothers, 3x Solo autos, 1x WW Auto. The photos are 4 days apart ..

Aussie power mate. I am doing some produce in dwc at the moment. Got some strawberries and broccoli going but I haven't done weed outdoor dwc. I like indoor. Less pests lol

Haha! Tell me about it.. first few days of the DWC setup, lifted the lid to take a peak and there was a little frog taking laps inside . I took him out, but after a while I wish I left him there.. I get little worms every now and then (only a few) I think they're some sorta larva, they don't seem to bother the plant / roots though, at first I washed and picked them out but now I just leave them.. they leave after a day or two..
I'm wanting to make an outdoor Hydro for fruit and veg, any chance you could post some pics of your set up, largely the strawberries?

Broccoli was getting eaten by a snail but has come good

I just put powerfeed in the water. The strawberries roots haven't gone crazy but they look healthy.

This was when I got the bulbs.

What a cheeky fucking frog. I'd be freaking out if I saw shit living in my buckets but I'm glad they don't seem to be hurting anything

Totally forgot about getting DWC info !! Will get it all as soon as the sun is back up tomorrow ..
I did / do freak when there is something else living in my buckets, but kinda takes the aquaponics approach I guess . I add beneficial bacteria, seems to counter any problems.. but.. I left one of the air pumps disconnected for about 24hrs one day.. got real bad rot root 2-3 days later.. thought they where a gone-er, but the roots just grew back, surrounded the old dead shit and seemed to absorb it! Will have fresh pics and updates tomorrow .

That's awesome. I guess nature will usually provide if you create the right habitat for it. I had a basil that went without air for a bit and started to slime but same thing, as soon as I changed the water, cut off some roots, fixed the air all was good

Busy flower tent, looking forward to getting the WW up and out, reorganising the tent a bit for better economy .

Afrodite, critical & WWxBB, ~ 3 weeks. Hopefully ready in time for cloning and flowering when the WW comes up.

As promised .

The buds are all pretty airy looking so far, except the GSC, that's looking like it will be pretty good in fact. It's winter here, they get decent sun but not 100%. The BabyBoom is weird, it's almost got no flowers at all.. just calyxs.. maybe it'll take longer, it's got NL genes + blueberry.

Once the roots on the recovered plants grew back, roots seemed to stop forming, they don't have the greatest root mass in there.

The "Big speed" was my first DWC attempt. A few things I fecked up on I realise now.. who woulda thought you should rinse the balls .I pretty well chucked em straight outside as well, quick sprout inside then into the tanks they went.

That's classic! How long ya gonna let it go in the cup for? I'm staying indoors for winter but after digging deeper into the forums I have the urge to do something sneaky outside this summer. I've only ever done one soil grow and got so pissed off with aphids fucking with it that I swore off growing bud outside.

How many plants you got going all up? Aren't you worried about the po po?

Cheers mate! I got the idea from a grower called "Boomshakala" for the solo DWC, im gonna let her live till harvest in the cup if possible.
Outdoors is good, nothing taste better than sun grown . aphids are little bastards yep, I normally let them do there thing but looking into pesticides during veg for next summer to handle the bugs.
Always worried about the boys in blue.. I grow for myself tho, I don't sell and I try not to even see my guy for more to often . I smoke a lot.. it is what it is I guess, in qld courts are giving fines, no conviction for anywhere upto about 50 plants! I'm no where near that, but with a good "self medicating" defence it's not too bad.. the worse thing about being busted for me would be having to restart and give more money to syndicate growers.

So I harvest the big girl about a week ago, hung dry for 6 days and into jars. Think I got it at the right time, the buds went in at 35%Rh and after 12hrs the jars where at 62% and have sat there for a while now .
Is smokable for sample, and damn it's good! Can't wait to let it cure and get a feel for the effects of curing.

Just under 4oz from the major buds, only a 1/2oz of popcorn. Couple of paper bags of trim and leaf for edibles soon, still have the stem to pick buds off .
Pretty happy and pleased with my first tent princess.

Thanks all for tuning in and helping me along the way, much appreciated. I'm thinking to finish this journal and start another for just my ongoing garden adventures. At the moment ive got a few things going that Id like to keep a journal running for.
