Looking great,Hutch!
Even the little WW looks like she's loving life already!

Adventures in Cloning
IMG-2701.JPG

The two top shoots were cut from the top of the Chocolate Haze photoperiod. It had previously been topped and the new shoots were allowed to grow out to the third or fourth node. The cut was made at a forty-five degree angle near the stem.

Day 01-1.JPG

The two cuttings were placed in a jar of water while we finished up.

Day 01-5.JPG

The two clones were placed in a solo cup with Promix HP and enough water to thoroughly moisten the soil without drenching it.

Day 01-3.JPG

Tips of remaining leaves were cut off. This is to prevent the plant from forgetting to grow roots.

Day 01-6.JPG

A humidity dome was placed over each clone and they were moved to the top of the fridge where it is dark and warm.

All very symmetrical. I put the two clones that are in the covered solo cups where the light is the dimmest. The WW is in the next dimmest spot. The corners are the brightest spots in the tent apart from directly underneath the light. Have been spraying the clones with a light nutrient mix, 1 or 2 grams per gallon, several times a day.

Thanks for dropping by!

Wow. She is starting to fill out nicely and will start stacking weight!

Hello everyone! Here's the photo update for November 22...

Day 66-1.JPG

Lambs Breath Autoflower Day 23/66 - 43,000 lux - 11" from light - 14.5" tall (Feed: 6.0 grams MC - 6 litres)

Day 66-2.JPG

AK-48 Autoflower Day 33/66 - 57,000 lux - 9.25" from light - 36.5" tall. I wish I could give her the whole tent all the time until harvest day but that can never be. I'm thinking four two gallon pots for the next run.

Day 37.JPG

Phantom Cookies Domina - Day 37 - 12,000 lux - 26" from light - 2.75" tall.

Not sure what to do now. She looks so ready but she can't go into the flower tent for another three weeks. So probably I should wait to up-pot for another two weeks.

Day 36-2.JPG
Day 37-1.JPG

Chocolate Haze - Day 37 - 12,500 lux - 24" from light - 4.25" tall. Took two more clones from the bottom and cleared out all the underbrush. Then we tied down the other two shoots to create a sort of quadline.

Day 10.JPG

White Widow - Day 10 - 9,000 lux - 28" from light - 1.0" tall. Looking just right for a day 10 seedling but it always amazes me how long it takes to get going. She will be up-potted to a 2 gallon cloth pot. Since there will be 4 plants in the 27"x27" flower tent we are going to put them all in 2 gallon pots. Should be interesting!

Day 00b.JPG

Critical Purple Kush - Day -5. Removed seed from shot glass and placed seed in paper towels. Plate and all are kept in a plastic baggie to keep it from drying out. We should see a cute little tap root by tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day!

They just look better everyday,Hutch !:welldone:

Love the training. :bravo:
Thank you! Getting some good practice with quadlining in the veg tent and valuable guidance from the true horticultural artists on here like Dutchman1990 and carcass. I'm not a real fan of the "bend over" style I used on the Lambs Breath. It's too hard to see what's going on in the mid-stage. But she has turned out pretty good so far so not complaining. I think going forward that quadlining will be the best technique for me to deal with my height restrictions and to get the most out of that 120W light.

Hi everyone! Here's the photo update for November 24...

Day 68-1.JPG
Day 68-2.JPG

Lambs Breath Autoflower Day 25/68 - 39,000 lux - 11" from light - 14.5" tall

Day 68-2.JPG

AK-48 Autoflower Day 35/68 - 43,500 lux - 9.25" from light - 36.5" tall

It looked to me like there might be the beginning of some light bleaching. Since we can't raise the lights any higher we moved the plant to the corner which reduces the lux by around 20%. We noted when the light was 12" from the plant the lux was about 40,000 so that is probably what we should be roughly aiming for in late bloom.

AK-48 moved in to the corner to reduce light intensity.

Day 12.JPG

White Widow - Day 12 - 9,000 lux - 28" from light - 1.75" tall

The WW grew about 1/2" which is good for her age I guess but I can't help but notice the leaves are closer to lime green than I would like. I have to learn this light and tent so I'm not going to do anything about it until I see a more serious issue.

Day 00d.JPG

Critical Purple Kush - Day 0 - Just dirt!

Placed hatched seed yesterday afternoon in Promix HP in a clear solo cup which is placed inside a red solo cup. The clear one is so we can watch the roots. Expect to see the seedling push through the surface later today or tomorrow.

Next up, the clones...

The Clones...

The first two, #1 and #2, look fairly healthy but are starting to fade to lime green. Apparently this happens as they begin to grow roots and suck food from the leaves. Hope that's it.

I also started the hardening-off process too soon with clones #3 and #4. I had them out of the dome yesterday for a few hours and one of them, CH3, fell over. I replaced the dome and within an hour it was upright again. All 4 clones will now be kept under the dome for at least a week.

Thanks a lot! I finally found a plant stand while strolling through the back lanes around here. Adjustable height. Finally got that Lambs Breath off the wobbly pile of buckets I was using as a riser. Not saying I'm a binner:bong: but I keep my eyes open while I'm walking my little dog. You never know what you might find! :) Positive thoughts back at ya!
