Hi
I'm 1 of the newbies, so new I started my grow journal in the introduce yourself section,
now I'm in the Indoor Soil Cultivation section. It's a Phototron grow, it's only because of420 that she has gotten so far. (my only success )
Knowledge is power folks!
So I do a lot of this now. The Phototron girl is in flower,
I have a lazy attempt at hydro that spider mites got to we'll see

Now Strain Hunter recommended I come here and start my journal.
(where I if I thought about it is where I should have been)

So I started 1 new bean(I'm brave like that), trying the hydro thing again!
I say the spider mites robbed me of a fair shake, but taught me something
I will finish my Phototron grow there but will take you for ride with this new
plant O.K. Here's what I'm working with:

Tote 10 gal.
nutrients:
Maxicrop Liquid fish 5.0-1.0-1.0
Organic neptunes fish & seaweed fert. 2.3.1
VI Super thrive
Earthworm castings
Moondust
Thrive alive b-1
Bushmaster


Everything at this stage is experimental, trying to find out my likes dislikes and how tolerant these plants are.
I would like to try the Moondust and the Bushmaster on this grow, but they are opposing forces so I'm not sure how that would work. I'll let you know.Any thoughts so far?

Hello all Im finally starting my first grow

O.K. The Update

Started 2 new beans 1 accidentaly tossed in Phototron while back,
mixing the topsoil between watering must have finally put it deep enough to germ.
The other started hydro. In with mama for company for now.
Since mama in for a 3 day flush.

(That's big reps. I think that's how it's done.)

1 in Pototron healthy bit of streach lighting prob. Fixed now
2nd frist to pop, weaker of 2, Nute burn. Like I said experimental explain
more once I perfect it.

Going to start foliar spraying once 2nd set of leaves are fully in on both, they are already visible.
Bushmaster n a couple pebbles of moon dust, keeping excess in fridge.

Anyone else keep their nutes in fridge? 1st. time trying this.

Sounds like your off to a good start. Would love to see some pics. And no I have not heard of nutes in the fridge but I am no expert by any means. But if it does not tell you to keep refrigerated after opening I would say its not the best idea. Good luck and + reps on you new plants...

Sounds like you've got the right attitude to get started! I'll keep my eyes on this one, but you've gotta satisfy my urges with some photos

I don't see it a problem storing nutrients in the fridge, just make SURE it doesn't get too cold. Ice would be bad, I would think.

Update Xena got burned light too close, hope I caught It in time.
She was doing so well, after the nute burn. Now all I can do is
Legs doing well she seems really strong.
Look how broad her leaves are

They are doing well Xena took the burn in stride.
Legs is still strong as ever.

We're a month old

this update took so long.

O.K.

Legs and Xena are doing great. (now)
Remember Xena survived the nute burn just to suffer a light burn.
Well she got burned again hence 1 of the reasons for the space between updates.
Legs was stunted for a while figured had bit of nute lock in roots cleaned
flushed, now she's finally taking off.

The tolerance level on these plants, and their fight to live while you try
to figure out what's wrong amazes me.

I fed them today, took a peak at them tonight.
As soon as I get a cam I have to take a pic.
Xena is out of control, you have to see it for yourself

Tomorrow is Turkey day.

2 months in all

so long between up dates.
I didn't want to cheat you out of a full update. Pics n all.
I guess we'll call this a Super update..
Again. The girls are doing fine. Now.
My first hydro attempt was harvested, if you can call it that (bout 1/2 gram)
She never got a fair shake. Even after 2 soap n water treatments yes you
guessed it Spider mites.
Yes right again Xena n Legs were infected, so I pulled my first attempt good thing
Xena was too big for her space n pot.
I wasn't messing around this time so full on chemical warfare
Went to that depot found this:

after 2 treatments the girls can breath.
o.k. I should explain the "girls"; my first hydro attempt was in flower.
Xena and Legs were in the chamber with her, on 12/12 .
My thought was in nature herb is always on 12/12 so it couldn't hurt
Xena and Legs not to be on 24/24 to avoid my first girl going hermie
on me. Did you guess it this time?
Yes Xena and Legs went into flower.
Both showing white pistils
Only problem is giong into 2nd week now and white pistils still there.
How do I know if they are back into veg. cycle?
I went to 24/24 on the 22nd approx.
I've added light. (approx 5400 lumens)
Other than that they are doing great take a look

Yeah bro.
Cfls all the way, my Phototron is a combo of florescent and cfls I
am happy with the results, trying it on this hydro grow.

Sup all

Few things happened recently. Remember I went to 24/24.
It was too much for legs the attempted force back to veg drove
her to play for the other team. Yup!

Legs is a boy

Xena seems to be holding on, wondering how it will all turn out.
I'm assuming Legs went Hermie on me, Xena is living up to her name.
With the loss of legs I popped 5 beans, 3 made it.
Lit up thePhototron 2 in there probably start new thread for them,
and 1 in Legs old spot.

Spider mites seemed to have been destroyed

Back on 12/12.
Any thoughts or advice would be great.
