Landrace Genetics 101

Hey Safeman!
Yes this Oax is a very potent lady and this is my best grow ever over the past 47 years, by the looks and smell, of this years crop it could be a bit scary! HAHA
The Nepali is a great fast landrace with lots of terrific qualities, especially great for breeding. If it is same line I work with she is strictly an outdoor strain, And the Black Afghani not yet assessed the quality but a bit shy on the yield for 3 month veg and pot size I only got 2 3/4 ounces off two plants,
not great. B.A. is strictly indoor way to sensitive to mold out.
Thanks a lot for the information !!!!! thinking of running them next grow PURPLE NEPALSE AND BA - long flower times dam-it !!

Hello Yesum!
There is a lot of Difference The Blurple LED grown bud IMO is much more potent, much more robust flavor, way more trichs just a world of difference, I tried white cob LED and Spectrumking,
its BLURPLE for me now and forever!
I think it's just a marketing ploy, calling white full spectrum, which it is, but indoors your not growing in a natural setting, And there is obviously a lot of unusable light in white.
Last year same seed indoors white light Spectrumking yield was about 3 LBS with no very little to no purple, more leaf to flower, longer flower time, and way more foxtailing.
all around lower quality, I was kind of bumbed.
This year same space, same seed.
You see the results, I wish you could smell! And I pulled 4 1/2 LBS this year 1.5 pounnds more than last year.
The key from my observation is heavy red and then blue three watt diodes seem to kill it!
I am not a light specialist, I have no light measuring equipment.
All I have past and present results and my plants to tell me if they are happy.
By the way, I think it's cool your offering your OAX.

To further illustrate The difference between BLURPLE light grown plants and natural light grown plants. The following picture is of clones, two of each of the very purple buds shown above grown the same time.
But the clones were grown out in the greenhouse the same time the BLURPLE plants were being grown indoors. These cuts were grown to make Hybrid seed and bontinue IBL seed, and the difference as you can see is remarkably different.
The last two pics are the same clones in geenhouse ripe with old age, to insure ripe seed.
I love my Qb's had blurples before/still. Maybe i should throw one in the flower tent just too add some different spectrums?

Just smoked some Dalat Purple x Congo and got a hell of a buzz. 6 week flower sample. This plant is maturing so fast, just a month more and I chop. Power house high, with otherworld feeling and visual enhancement. Sweet taste to the smoke. A little noids during the high. You can feel overpowered a bit during the early phase.

My favorite strain now is the Acapulco Gold x Michoacan. Picture sitting on a cloud drifting along with the wind. That is the feeling it gives. I ran several phenos to find her. Originally I was looking for a more LSD effect but drifting on a cloud is more pleasant than frying on acid right? Trippy enough with the swirling sensation she produces. Some visual enhancement but no distortion.

The crazy trippy strains are seldom pleasant. They tend to be harsh. I have a Original Haze x Lambsbread flowering now. I ran it before and got a acid trip from a sample at 10 weeks. At 13 1/2 weeks harvest it has a mellow high. Will chop it at 10 weeks this time. When I smoked it at 10 weeks I got visual distortion and a LSD effect. Not kidding. Not that pleasant to be honest. Racy and a bit anxious. But like a roller coaster ride, it did the trick. It was not hell but I think you know what I am saying.

These were all Snow seeds ^^

I smoked a 6 week sample of the Guerrero from Swami. Nice up clear effect, decent strength. Some brightness to visual and mental effect. You could work on this fine. Will run another pheno next grow. See if it is any different than this one.

Will keep looking for the trip and if it happens, the trip with a pleasant high. That reminds me, I have a couple new Oaxacans to sample....

Hey @yesum man. I found yr post on Malverde elsewhere. I stumbled upon this stuff when browsing. I saw the pics, but they looked nothing like a Mexican sativa, more like a cross with OG or something. Is it worth checking out?

It was decent smoke the Malverde, but not like a heirloom. More like a modern hybrid. Might run another but not excited about the strain.

I am gonna clone my two Snow Oaxacan x Central Mexican plants. Tiny so I pinched a popcorn bud off both to test. They both passed the test. One is feel good effect mostly. The other gives the very brightened visual effect with almost distortion, which is what I was after. Has a speedy type effect too. I will get no other smoke from them as I need the whole plant to reveg. Bummer but hopefully they do reveg and then I will have plenty. Very quick plants, done in 7 weeks. This was a breeding project he gave me and not sure if they are for sale now.

The Original Haze x Jamaican is coming down soon. Has turned into a annoying high without the LSD effect it had before. I am taking samples early and still no effect other than being annoying. I guess when I first smoked it I had no tolerance and got the LSD thing but now it is not really there.

My snow Vietnamese Laughing Grass is coming down. Mildly disappointed in it. Some noids and just not as trippy as I would like when considering the noids that comes with it, also hermies. Have a Nanan Bouclou coming down. Very clear effect with some trips in the ride. Will try to reveg it.

The Acapulco Gold can use a little more time and the Punto Rojo needs more time too.

There are some shorter flowering options especially African strains, but in general that's something you can't dodge.
