Re: MunchBaccy's Dirty First Grow 2011 – Lowrider 2
Thanks King, they are looking a lot better now I have adjusted the pH down from 8.6. The Lowrider are autoflower which are supposed to start flowering about after 2 weeks of veg but mine are very late developers and they were in veg for 9 weeks so I am hoping the grow will be complete in another 5 to 7 weeks.
I call this my dirty grow 'cos I didn't have the money to start with everything I wanted and have slowly been improving things over the last 2 months. I now have a digital pH meter and a home made 9,700 lumens CFL grow light which is good for 2 plants.
I have a fair theoretical knowledge from reading in detail about 12 completed journals (I especially like Doc Bud's ones). Now I am turning the theory into practise but I am trying to keep things as simple as I think possible.
The Lowrider is supposed to deliver about 40g yield under good conditions but on this grow I will be content with 10g, any more I will consider a plus. I have another 8 Lowrider seeds so I will grow them all and hope in future to achieve closer to the 40g per plant. I also had 20 mixed seeds which came as a freebie with the LRs, the first 4 didn't germinate but I am hopeful that the fifth one will as I have researched and refined my germinating process and of course I am now using tap water adjusted to pH 6.5. We shall see.
Whatever happens I will not lose my sense of humour.
