I was reading about telling the difference in sex of the plant an pre flowers an looked at my plant is this the v shape that is mostly common
represents a female

Hi and welcome. This plant is not yet mature enough to sex. When the nodes start alternating then it's mature. You are looking in the correct place though. Female flower should pop out from under those pointy v you drew around. Give a couple weeks to be sure

I'd change your light cycle to either 20/4 or 18/6 I'm new to it all as well what is your set up

Is it an Auto Flower ? If it is you just have to wait to find out as Auto's do it all on their own & you run your lights either 20/4 or 24/0 the entire grow.
If it's not an Auto Flower you run your lights 18/6 until you want to Flower. Then you have to switch your lights to 12/12.
However, you can find out if it's female now by cutting off a small branch & putting it in a small cup of water. Then put that branch under a 12/12 light or keep it in a window for 12 hours & then a dark closet for 12 hours. In about a week you'll see pistils if it's female. If it is, Plant it & make you a Bud Sickle. Yeah, it will put out some roots & you can finish flowering it. I've done this a few times & usually get about a 10 - 12 gram Bud.

Dropping golden nuggets of wisdom! Love it! I'll giving that a try in the near future.
A guy called Weedzer on another site taught me that trick a couple years ago. He was something else when it came to LED's. He built all his own lights. Runs under 100 watts of light in a 5' x 10' area & grows monstrous plants. Light companies would send him Free Lights to evaluate & tell them how to improve them. Of course he got to keep the lights. I seen a pic of his closet once that had about 50 lights new in the boxes that were only used for testing.

My plants are 24 days old today was also wondering when I should switch them to flower

If it’s your first time, growing. I think it would be best to switch to flower as early as you can to experience the transition into flower and learn from it. I’m growing two plants 12/12 from seed, to see how that went. 9 weeks in and starting to flower. Showed it’s sex when they were 7 weeks old. Happy growing

How much you think you'll yield from your plants at 12/12 from seed. An what schedule is your set to I was thinking like 7pm to 7am have lights off . An do you have ne pics of yours
I guess it would depend on genetics. 12/12 from seed works well with sativa that stretch a lot.
I might be wrong but I believe it's best to run lights at night if it's cold? Sure Bushdoctor will be able to give youyou better advice as I mostly grow outdoors
