Questions for harvest

Here is my Strawberry Cheesecake Auto at exactly 10 weeks old. I don't think it is ready but I thought i would ask you? This is my first successful grow ever!

Observations:

+ Drinking less water now
+ pistols still seem too long to me
+ I believe pistols are about 30% or more browning
+ Under a magnifying glass the trichomes seem like a ghosty white.

Questions:

+ Should i keep running with nutes until 60 to 70% of pistols brown and then flush?

+ Should i keep it going a couple or few weeks?

+ Does it look ripe or underdeveloped?

Any advice will be helpful.

@Emilya, I finally got there!!!

I usually wait till at least 50% of the pistils turn orange. It depends on the effect you want from your weed as to when you harvest. Clear Triches = a Headache if you smoke it. White / Milky Triches = more head high / less body high. The more Amber the Triches = More Body high & Couch Lock. You never want to go over 75% Amber as the potency will start diminishing.

The pistils are just a guideline... what you really need to go by are the trichomes, on the very top caylxes. Check there for at least a few of them to turn amber... I pull my harvest when I see 2% amber up at the top. By this time there should be no white pistils in most varieties, and all of the pistils will have pulled back and crinkled... there should be no straight white pistils at the top by this time.
The thing that I look for is for the very top white pistils to get a kink in them. When none of the pistils are straight up any longer, that is the beginning of the final 2 weeks of the grow, the final bud swell. If they are drinking less water, the salts have built up in your soil... there is no rational reason for the plants to be slowing down water uptake during this time of maximum growth... if you are seeing that, it is time to do a 3x the container sized flush of clean water to wash those salts out of the soil so the uptake can resume at full steam. Then, keep feeding right up to the end, and enjoy the show!

define the word flush
Emilya. I mean the last step before you harvest to remove any nutrients. Basically ph6.5 water with no nutes as you said with 3x the volume of the pot. In my case that is a 6 litre pot. So does that mean i need 18 litres of water? Sounds like a lot.

What i want to know other than that is when i should do it? I have read that as a guideline flush when 40 to 60% of the pistols are brown. I am at 10 weeks and 3 days on this auto, and it has still been having nutes.

On the other point, i was adding sime epson salt prior as i had what i think was slight mag deficiency l. Rather than flush as you said, i tried watering as normal without the epsom salt. She is drinking fine.

The flush does not clean nutrients from the plants, only the soil. It should be done two weeks prior to harvest to increase water uptake, and then full feeding should be done till the end. Yes 18l seems like a lot but that is how to clean the soil. The soil can only hold the amount it would hold in a normal watering, so it's not like you would be over watering.
