Hey there.....so this should help.

Currently you at the very top of the list.... White pistils... Clear trichomes...not ready... Reward yourself and be patient...2-3 weeks.

Once every single pistil has reddend and receded then your promoted to check trichomes.

Can we see the whole plant?

Anyways good luck growmie.

Never harvest white pistils.
When she is finished flowering and building for you her pistils will turn red and crinkle in.
Then check tricks.
Clear/cloudy energetic feeling.
Cloudy/amber relaxed feeling.
You have a couple weeks left. :Namaste:

Hey @greentelescop !

Looks like you've got a variety there that doesn't produce a lot of stigmas ("hairs", pistils). So, you really need to get a microscope to keep track of the trichomes. I recommend the Carson MicroBrite Plus for about $15... great little hand-held scope with built in LED light.

If you are outdoor (like me), mold can be more of a problem, depending on your climate. I live in mold central here in tropical Hawaii. Anyway, mold likes to develop on dead material, and brown stigmas are just that – dead material. This is why the old time growers in my area always looked at stigmas turning brown as an indicator of when to harvest.

I have 7 big plants in different stages of flowering right now, and I am very vigilant to keep track of the mold. I spray them with peroxide solution to help keep the mold back – I spray buds and all. I often need to harvest early, to avoid bud rot. So, instead of waiting for more amber trichs to develop, I often settle for seeing milky trichs.

Happy growing! :)
