Hey chaps hope alls well with the world..
Before I do a slurry test, which I’ve only learnt about whilst following a few threads on the GSC comparative grow.
I’ve decided to run 500 ml of ph’d water through each of the girls, added cal/mag @1ml ltr. See if we’re still up in the 9.0 ec.
First run

its not 9 but still pretty high I’d say?
The second run of the same brought it down but still high..

my conclusions…. Something is wrong here.
The other 2 plants were both equally high, up to 7.1. Ec on both, with a drop to 5.0 after a 500ml rinse.

sooooo… what to do?? I don’t really know ha.
First ting …slurry test…
Next ting … up pot into a new clean substrate.. what’s the worst that can happen?.. mmmm.. well, we don’t want that so I’m hoping that if anything,, they’ll just be held up a bit in veg..

What a coincidence, that we are both dealing with the same issues.
I don't think up-potting the! is Gona do any harm. It will do more good than harm..
Hope everything else is going ok.. why can't growing the old Mary Jane just be a simple case of water and walk away.. they are high maintenance..

I sold a van and a full set of tools for my first set up here(not by choice) things where going tits due to H attack and covid so thought to myself .. fu*k it.. and bought what I thought to be the best I could get for my buck…
Once I got going a bit, the reality of the extreme conditions in the loft brought home another reality… loads more equipment and
deeper pockets gonna be needed.. once your in for a few quid , that’s it isn’t it.. you may as well try and get it right and throw a few more quid at what can now only be described as a feckin Alice sized rabbit hole.. Soooo I sold another van and set of tools… which I happened to have lying around as I’d had to let another team that I’d trained up for 3 yrs go.. due to covid and the owld M Infarction.. Just had the fingers crossed that the mrs was out when the delivery man landed..
And so it’s gone on… building walls / kingspan/ tents, lights to light up lights, leaky roof, now I’ve got a feckin seed addiction to boot heehee.
I’ve got one van and a ful set of tools left… so pretty soon I’ll have to get back on the horse.. mmmm.. until then… many buds to be grown and consumed me tinks

1gal air pots.
Coir/ bokashi/ frass/ perlite( Bill284 mix )
Weed Seeds Express Chiquita Banana (photo’s)
WSE Pinkman Goo (photo.)
Living soil Grow top dress @4tbs / gal
Recommend @2tbs / gal for soil.
1ml/ltr cal mono
1ml/ltr Mag mono.
Water Ph’d 5.8

It’s a funny old game isn’t it… this Chiquita Banana seems to be ok with the conditions, compared to the others.. And conditions haven’t been great.
I’ve not transplanted any yet as this girl seemed to pick up… give em another day see if the others turn it around..
Problem I’ve given myself, is not being careful in choosing the medium.. From previous grows.. I’ve ditched used coir into bags mixed with new coir, and left some used coir in bags without mixing down… all unlabelled I might add… coz I said to myself at the time. .. you’ll know which is which when the time comes… we’ll fme… not 3 months later and I didn’t know them apart…. Simple lesson learned for me.. label stuff up…

Came in handy… wasn’t all just for the growing stuff, set up for breeding dogs and a few other bits too.. here’s one of my new hobbies

I had my second jab in May, somewhere along the line I’ve picked up a form of bacterial arthritis, which I was just starting to get over, an then I broke my ankle.. heehee..wtf still loving life though..
But put back the work for a few more weeks. Hey ho
Not really addicted to seeds , more of a compulsion when I have a look at all those lovely seed banks.

Living soil grow stuff. Top dressed 4tbs 12 days ago.
This girl is getting transplanted in the next day or so..
once she’s settled in. I’ve read that it’ll take about 12 days to do so.I’ll flip to 12/12.
She leans towards the Sativa with 60% to 40% indica. I don’t want another monster.. I do really, but my space can’t handle one.
Temps have been outrageous, peaking at 42c but pretty steady 38c. Ac unit can’t go on for more than 20 min at a time as it’s throwing out all the smells I want to contain.. I’ve replaced Ac unit filters with carbon filters but it still stinks of erb about the place when it’s running..
I also tried a 6” rhino carbon filter on the end of the exhaust ducting.. not recommended… it got seriously hot after awhile.
Not sure what to do other than muddle through at the min.
Lights out unfortunately for the pics today I’m afraid..
The other 2 as you’ll see need up potting and perhaps a spell in the sun for awhile ?
I think the training going ok?
I’m going to let both sides of the bottom 2 nodes grow upwards, but will continue to run the top 2 nodes outwards.. mmmm.

Here’s the other 2, really haven’t coped with the duff medium and soaring temps so well..
I’ll do my best to pull them both back round to the light and then they’re in the big girl tent.

These are the roots from the transplanted back up CB . That’s now outside in a new cleanish medium, and perking up in less than a day..

these where the most promising looking roots.. but I fecked em me tinks.

only half way through for party animals up in the northeast as I recall
I up potted them into an old medium( critical girls)figured, with the ridiculous heat and the hot pot I put em in.. I’d done the job on em.. i don’t know really though.. I’m constantly figuring without any real knowledge or expertise.. They could be perfectly ok, and just brown
The ec reading of the first run off check I managed came out very high at 9.0.. figured(again) that wasnt too good. And prob a lockout occurring ? Asked a couple of questions and went towards your kind response which was a nod to up potting into a clean medium.
When it came to uppotting into a new medium, there had been no knew root growth and all the old coir just fell off from around the original Dixie cup shape. leaving those brown roots on display.
Think we where on the right track as the up potted girls starting to show a more healthy colour in the leaves after a couple of days.

these 2 are now veging outside for the duration of the Do’s girls.One is in the usual coir/bokashi magic, the other is in some good old soil out the veg patch .. I’m using living soil grow mix as a feed for both. It’ll be 2 weeks before there next top dress @2tbls per gallon.

the dirt below is what the girl above is ensconced in.. it’s been a no dig patch for years and years so hopefully full of some goodies already.

Yeah these Weed Seeds Express seeds have some pretty good genetics by the looks of things on the comparative and sponsored grows going on.. I’m pretty confident that they’ll bounce back in no time… unless of course i mess up again.
The WSE girl in the Sylstar tent has taken everything in stride so far.

Hope y’all good ya!
This was the WSE Chiquita Banana a week ago(ish) she’s enjoying her training at this point.. I’ve up potted into her final 3 gal air pot and we’ll be carrying on with the Living soil feed.

Fast forward to today.. This is she

you can see the root growth is spot on compared to the other girls, gonna be honest..ney clue as to why .. Maybe she just got a lucky non toxic batch of old coir? If that was even the prob to begin with.. confused?? Me feckin too.

Light. SYLSTAR GL4000

Tent. Gorilla 600x800x1500
3gal AirPot.
Coir/bokashi/frass/perlite Bill284’s rocket fuel mix.
On the very bottom of the pot I sprinkled some Living Soil Bloom 2.. the rest of the mix for the up potting was a mix of 20% grow and 80% bloom 1. Mixed at 2 tablespoons per gallon. Top dressed with Living Soil Grow @ 4 tbls.
Just making it up as I go
In 2 week I’ll flip to 12/12..
Water.. Tap water with added CaO and MgO

With all the best intentions, I thought I’d have a mess about with a few different nutrient lines for these girls..
Dutch Pro coir
Canna bio
Mantis.
Firstly.. it’s not an experiment.. pretty difficult to do using auto seeds. No real idea which pheno will pop up out of the seeds used.
Only real experiment to test the difference in nutes would be with clones I’d imagine.
Well.. ran out of Mantis awhile ago it’s a bit on the expensive side so couldn’t replace. Ha
Not my proudest of grows
One lady was outside, and this is she being put to use after her untimely demise.
Really deep purple/black colour.

for the rest of the bunch, those of you that get

any sexual gratification from looking at pretty buds, you’d better get a tissue.
