You should do a tutorial on the refilling of your carbon filter and take some pictures it could be really helpful and funny at the same time .if you end up covered in it keep it damp keep the dust down . I've heard that water reactivate's the carbon as well

Good Afternoon Mr Skunny....sorry to hear the footy went bad.....good to hear it is getting warmer......i want to see a tutorial as well with the charcoal replacement....does your filter have rivets?......i think you can just drill them out and replace with a screw a little bigger than the hole...maybe.........but i have been using mine for about a 1 1/2 years now........so i think soon they will need refreshing....what kind of charcoal did you buy or look for?

Good morning Dirty, the footy was dog shit.
Onto filters, I've no idea what make mine is but it has what we call hex head tek screws, you might call em that too they're self drilling & tapping little bolts & they're re-usable If yours are riveted then yep, drill them out & re-rivet As for what to buy, you want 4mm activated carbon pellets for air purification. Don't buy aquarium stuff, it won't work.

I have never used a rivet gun but i am sure dad has one out in the shop....i am sure i seen him do it before......if not i think screw would work......i guess i will figure it out when the time comes.....how long have you been using your filter?

I just looked up 3 different sights and ranged from 50-80 pounds for 20 lbs.......how much did you pay and for how much?

You can buy some tek screws if you've no rivet gun, it's much cheaper. I paid £47 for 5kg =/ My filter is about 8 or 9 years old & the place I bought it used to re-charge it but they shut down so this is my 1st time of doing it myself
