Slower Grower Of Northern Lights

Well this seems like a Fun journal!...first just like to say welcome to :420:...what kind of soil are you using?...for over 3 weeks old, they do seem smallish although still healthy...I have always used CFL's for seedlings...a few 23 watt 5000k or 6500k(usually says on the bulb base) from the dollar store would be enuff to light up your babies lives...and save Ya' some money too...as for nutes...you could use miraclegro(BLASPHEMY!...lolool)...its easily sourced and really just the same as most "designer nutes" IMHO...just not any fancy names...using a diluted mix(1/4 to 1/2) has worked for me before I tried the fancy stuff...if you must...seems General Hydroponics on the Zon' offers the best prices...same for temp/hygrometers...a couple clip on fans from Wally World will give you some air circulation...as mentioned... open bottom/top vents helps...a healthy environment=healthy plants...anyways...hoping your girlz get some legs and start performing...cheerz...h00k...:hookah:

This is what I use, pretty easy and simple

Fox Farm FX14049 Liquid Nutrient Trio Soil Formula: Big Bloom, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom (Pack of 3 - 32 oz. bottles)

You can get by Now with just Big Bloom and Grow Big till they start to flower, Save ya about $10

But Id add the CalMag as well
General Hydroponics CALiMAGic Quart

Do you PH yer water, that is important, a PH tester is a must
LOVEBAY Digital PH Meter, Pocket Size 0.01 PH High Accuracy Water Quality Tester with 0-14 PH Measurement Range for Household Drinking Water, Hydroponics, Aquariums, Swimming Pools

If u use tap water, and the PH is High, white vinegar can lower it, or like Me, I get water from those machines at the grocery store and never have to worry

This is a good start for ya
What household item can you use to raise the ph if it is too low Scorpio?

I'll sub in on this one. Welcome to 420 Kelsey! You're surrounded by some of the best advice on growing cannabis and the people here are very cool and helpful. If it was me, I would look into a hygrometer(measures temp and humidity). You can get one at the depot or wallyworld. Also look into a ph test kit. You can also source this from Amazon or your local hardware store. It's usually found in the pool and pond section. Hope this helps.

Told ya you'd be in good hands here, Kelsey! More and more experienced growers are chipping in on your thread. If there are two things that growers in :420: prioritize: it's helping other people grow and bud porn.

Okay so I ordered the Trio off (not off amazon, i'm a ebay kinda gal)
However, it won't be here until later on next week. BUMMER.

So...

I might be a complete looney tune, but I thought I would try something in the mean time to try to get some "nutes" as you guys call it to my plants.
Everything I've researched, and what Camelback has taught me is that my plants need 3 different "nutes" (sorry I laugh everytime I say it) which are the following
Potassium
Nitrogen
Phosphorus
I read in the Veg stage they need a lower level of the Nitrogen and a higher level of the other two. So I had this bright Idea... I cooked a bomb ass breakfast the other morning and had a whole bunch of eggshells left over. Along with a banana and as crazy as it sounds I had a indoor campfire with my niece last weekend to roast some s'mores so the ashes were in the fireplace....
So I just mixed them all up together and added a little bit of water. I used a food processer I use for making soaps and it blended it up all frothy and ugly. I put it with a little bit of water and WHALLLAAA Do ya'll think this will work? Or am I cray cray? You won't hurt my feelings.... Pictures coming shortly! :)

Hey! Thanks so much for helping me out. Since I've been on here I have been so inspired and learned so much... so awesome people are willing to share there brains with me. lol I actually had no idea that it was called a "hydrometer" and I for damn sure didn't know where to buy one. I learned to make a rinky dink humidifier (Thanks Pintrest) so I added that to the room... I'll def pick up a hydrometer next time I'm in town thanks for the input! Pictures later :)

...Actually you want more nitrogen during veg...and more P and K during flower...your logic is sound with your ingredients although still lacking nitrogen...coffee grounds would help with that...however, it would be more practical in building a soil rather than providing quick results...Ya' might consider picking up one of those small bottles of an all purpose nutes available anywhere(and use 1/4 strength)to tide you over ...pictures of your blender concoction would be kewl...lolool...cheerz...h00k...:hookah:

I would personally hold off on the nutes this early on. At least until you get your order but that's just me. It depends on what nutrients are already in the soil to begin with. I use Ocean Forest soil and it has a bunch of good stuff that will feed my plants for the first 2-3 weeks. How close are your babies to the led?
