Hello 420 Magazine. Time to start a new journal. I hope to have a veritable potpourri of growing cannabis. I'm being very ambitious and I'll be traveling a few weekends so it may be a bumpy ride. I'm also trying lots of new things. If you followed my current journal then you already know I added a 2x2 tent to the shed with the intent on using it to keep some mother plants, so that's going to be one of my goals. I've currently got 5 clones from 2 plants in the current grow. 3 Northern Lights and 2 Purple Queens.

That's a 6 gallon tote w/ 5 gallons of 1/4 strength GH Flora Series with some other additives, 2 pumps to circulate the solution, a UV filter and 2 large air stones. On the shelf below is a fairly strong air pump, humidifier and space heater. Above is a small LED grow light for seedlings. It's currently reading about 3500 lux at the sensor there on the lid. My current intake is a 6" inline fan that is split between this tent and the 4x4 which runs intermittently based off the temperature in the 4x4 which is currently in flower. The exhaust is a 4" inline fan that runs continuously.

In addition to the clones I dropped 4 seeds Saturday night.

On the right is a single Amnesia Lemon from Herbie's seeds. As the package indicates...it was a freebie.
On the left are 3 Double Black Label CBG seeds from CBG seed

2 of those had a tail this morning and by this evening the third popped out too. So far 3 for 3 :)

All 3 of those seeds have been put into Coco Pellets in a small seedling tray with a USB LED built in. I'll get pics tomorrow.

My main tent (the 4x4) is setup as a recirculating hempy bucket system that can support 5 plants, the maximum I'm allowed to grow with my IL medical license. So, if all of these turn out to be viable, It'll host 2 Northern Lights clones, 1 Purple Queen clone, 1 Amnesia Lemon seedling and 1 DBL seedling. In the 2x2 tent I'll have 1 Northern Light clone and 1 Purple Queen clone to keep as mothers. For the other 2 DBL seedlings I want to try my hand at my first soil grow and I'll convert a couple of my old hempy buckets into Sub Irrigated Planters (SIPs) which I'll grow outside. I can do this because they are technically hemp plants and don't count against my 5 plant quota. I'll also be OK with the 2 mothers as long as I keep them below 12 inches.

That's enough to get this thing started. Once I see some roots developed I'll post strain info. Like I said...very ambitious. I'm going to need some solid 420 karma to get through this one :)

Hey @GainesvilleGreen and @InTheShed thanks for checking in on the new grow :welcome:

Looks like 4 for 4 on germination.

The medium is still saturated so I cracked the dome a bit.

Look who's trying to break into my tent

And the last to drop a tail is the first to pop the surface...

The medium is moist and spongy. Temp inside the tray is about 77F. Got it sitting on an Ink Bird controlled heat mat.

1 week from dropping the seeds into water...still no signs of the DBL :(

Sometimes it's hard for me to pop beans this time of year. Is the humidity and temp good?
The heat pad is set to 80F but ambient temp in the tent has been running low, around 67F. I discovered the heater was sitting wonky on the shelf and the button switch for the tip over protection wasn't engaged. It's now about 80F so hopefully that helps. Humidity is around 70%.

Still no movement on the DBL beans, so...I got a little impatient and decided to excavate DBL3...

I'm afraid I may have chopped of the taproot while digging it out of the coco because there's no sign of it. I'm not sure what that white spot is at 4:00, but I thought that might have been it. It's hard to see with the image quality lost when I uploaded to google photos but the seam is definitely split. I replanted and we'll see if anything comes of this one.

The Amnesia Lemon looks good, albeit a little leggy.

and added a CFL for some extra light.
