Storing weed to keep for a while

ok so i bought 8 grams of weed and i put it in this jar but the jar is way to big,i was thinking if i just put the weed inside of a ziplock bag. Then put it into the jar and it might be better than to just leave it in the jar.

It should be fine in the jar if it has a good seal, if you open it a lot it might not stay as fresh as it replaces the air in jar when you open it. Guess depends on how long you wanting to keep it whether you want to do more with it like the bag or vacuum seal bags or smaller jar etc...

It's like one of those grade four math questions where I keep wanting to ask- why not just get a smaller jar....
