Using Miracle Grow Seed Starting Potting Mix For Autoflower - Need Advice

About 100 years ago when I started growing, we'd put seeds in a pot of dirt and kill the males. That's about all. Now, the sophistication of growing is more than most can keep up with unless you are answering to shareholders. Just watch them and remember this one thing......... Don't over react to things and don't let their feet sit in the water for an extended period of time. You're in the right track with the proper instruments. Ph is pinnacle.

Thanks man! I have not watered them since initial plant till I fed them with nutes today. The bottom of my 5 gallon is wet obvi because I just fed them. My soil however aerates pretty well!

Good evening everyone,

Here are some pics of the end of day 7! I fed my babies their first meal of fox farm nutes!! I hope they react well! Good night all see you in the morning!

How high should I hang my LED from my plants when I get it tomorrow? I don't want to burn them. I got the galaxy hydro 300w full spectrum

Galaxy is a name brand, so I know they've got good recommendations online and probably with the unit. That seems like a good place to start and then maybe move it down a little and see how it goes. You might want to post a Q on the lighting forum. My only thought would be to remember that the light distribution is not as even as you might expect. There is a hot spot in the center, so watch out for that.

Good morning everyone,

Day 9 pics. My galaxy hydro comes in today! So stoked to use it. Time to put the girls in the sun.

New and improved clean area. This is where the plants will finish. I will use Bowl method LST and SCROG method to keep everything exposed to light. I will post another pic of when my light is hung. Don't worry I had a light hanging over Mr. Lahey all night. Well y'all have a good one! I'll show you an updated pic when I finish hanging the grow light and accent canopy lights!!

This may be too much light.

2 led (1500 Lumens per)
1 LED back right lamp is 1600 lumens

Cannabis likes lots of light, about 50,000 to 90,000 lux or more (bright summer sun).

A lux is a lumen spread out over a square meter.

My reading says that a Galaxy Hydro puts out 7000 lumens, not 1500.

So for simplicity, if you have about 7000 + 7000 + 1600 = 15,600 lumens and that is spread out over one square meter, you have about 15,600 lux.

There are lots of subtleties regarding what is photosynthetically active radiation, etc., but I think that should give you an idea in round numbers.

Yea I meant the 2 lamps in the back and the accent light. So In short all the light I can get. I got you. I will continue to move the plants outside during the day. (Ain't no way I'm getting 90k lumens on this grow indoors haha)

Okay this is my last post for the night. My light didn't come in till late so I had to rig this setup last minute. I will modify and make it cleaner tomorrow.

Set up

420-magazine-mobile1035260334.jpg

4 LED bulbs at 1500 Lumens
1 accent light 1600 lumens
Galaxy hydro 7000 lumens

I will get my other LED next week and won't have to mix all the light. I hope all the mixture does not stunt the growth in my plant. They have been getting PLENTY of sun.

Let me know what other adjustments I could make to make my room better

Night y'all

Your plants are looking healthy! :)
I really don't think that different spectra of light are going to stunt a plant. Not enough light, that will stunt a plant.
If it was my grow, I'd move the 1600-lumens down to within inches of the plants. I have made light meter measurements and that's not too much.

Looking good!
