Homemade LED Grow Light & Drip System Journal

Hi guys.

I just finished my last grow with a decent success of a little under 2oz under a 96w homemade led with 1 plant. In this journal I'll be running a unknown indica bag seed. First I will start off with the 96w led for veg and move to the 180w led that im almost done with for the remainder of the grow. I'm also gonna be using coco/perlite with a drip system. Here's a couple pics of the plant and setup.

Here's a couple more pictures to give you a better idea of the size. Everything is homebuilt including the tent. The 3 things that are not homemade r the 2-4in inline fans and the small fan down low circulating the air. The tent is 18in×18in×42in. I'm gonna be running it as drip to waste. And hopefully able to throw a scrog screen in there. There's two more pictures in there of some more lst I've been doing today.

Subbed man. Just followed your other journal and there's some really great info in there. Not to mention how well your lady came out. Looking good so far!

Thank you for following my last grow. I did have a good harvest. But I must say the nitrogen toxicity really threw me off and made the final outcome less than what I wanted in the taste and strength area. It does smell great when it is broken down but the flavor is very minimal and mostly earthy not kushy at all.
The good part is that that issue won't be happening again. I changed my medium to coco and perlite which r both nutrient free.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to send them my way. Either on this thread or by pm.
Also any advice or criticism is always greatly appreciated. I do have a vast knowledge of cultivation but I am no master.

Here's a pic of what I am hoping on achieving. It was from a 160w florescent grow I did in a homebuilt mini dwc setup I made.

Everything is looking good today. I should be able to start the drip system soon. I will drip once a day in the morning, and in flower I will probably drip 2 times a day. Here's a couple pics of the growth.

So I splurged today and bought myself a 300w led grow light, 149watts actual power draw. It uses 60×5w led chips. I got it for 52$ name brand and brand new. I'm not sure if it's one of the sponsors here so I don't want to say the name of the company but if you really want to know pm me. It will probably be here by the 28th of this month.

Here's a couple more pics after some more lst. I also removed a fan leaf to allow more penetration of the light to the branching.

Here's a couple pics of the (hopefully) girl. She had some good side branch growth last night.

I see you're training her but just as a thought maybe fimming or topping to promote extra stem growth? It's easier that having to wrap it around the bucket of the stems protrude out from the center instead of back in on itself, I found that out with my last grow

She will be topped in a few days I'm only bending her back to slow the growth of the main as much as possible before I throw a screen in there. I'm not 100% set on doing a screen bit I think it's a good way to support my branching later on.

Topping would slow for sure. You cut the top 2 to 3 nodes down and turn it into a clone. From there the main stock doesn't get grow much at all everything below it will and would fill your screen or that small space in general

Re: Homemade LED Grow Light & Drip System Journal

That's what i had in mind or maybe clone the 2 lowest branches and just fim the top for more nodes.

Here's a couple more pics from right now. I removed 2 more fan leaves. It's the best time when they r young and growing fast.

Ya it did. The light has 24×3w fu
ll spectrum leds 380nm-800nm and 8×3w 2700k leds. One pc fan on back keeps it under 100 degrees. There's 4 drivers for the leds also on the back. Honestly would have been better with the 90 degree lenses instead of the 60 degree lenses I have on it. It's ok tho I have this light that's almost done.

I also just bought a 300w led so it can be used in comparison to my lights I build.
