I heard of two methods for that. One involves picking a few leaves every other day or so that are heavily shading lower budsites. The other method involves a heavy fan leaf defoliation during the last 2-3 weeks of flower. I would start with the first method and if you think it's working continue, if you don't think it's working then you could stop and try the other method

You can defol, but be very careful l and do it very incrementally. as this is the major source of food. all defol requires finding the right ratio of removing leaves to allow light penetration vs not removing too many leaves as to slow down photosynthesis. just remove 2-3 leaves every 2-3 days. when then smaller fan leaves increase in size do it again to the larger ones and so on. but it looks like your canopy isn't too thick so i personally think you are ok without defol. something you can do as an alternative is just add some supplemental CLF in and around the plant.

Can anybody tell me, Is it worth plucking some of the fan leaves now to get more light to the buds?

I'm having same issue my beasts are super bushy in the middle I'm thinking another defol

Quick update from me. Plants are now 2 months exactley (61 days). A few of the lower fan leaves went yellow and brown so I have removed them, think it was because light was being blocked. A few of the white hairs have turnt brown on a couple of buds. Not much smell from this strain (this was one of the main reasons I choose it) there are a lot of bud locations, hoping the thicken out a lot in the last couple of weeks.
Hoping to have it all ready by end of jan then I can start making improvements for the next project.
Thats all from me, will post some pictures in a minute.
Happy new year!!

Hello all
Update time.
Plants are now 72 days. Harvest is getting closer. Buds have been thickening out and the hairs are turning brown and curling. With a jewlers loupe I can see all trichomes are cloudy white. Going to wait until there are some brown as well.
I have an issue at the moment with fan leaves dying, they start with brown tips then start to turn yellow then brown and crisp, I have just been removing the yellow/brown leaves but it is increasing, everyday about 2 or leaves per plant are being removed.
From what I read the brown tips is a pottasium deficiency, will this affect bjd growth at this late stage? Is there anything I can from the start of the next project to stop this, as I do not want to start usuing additional nutes so close to the end, but I can be prepared earlier in the next project.
I have put some pictures up showing the problems, and also some pictures of the buds and plants.
Thanks in advance.

I have some good links in my signature :) Usually, no worries, since you are close to the end :)

Thank you, just checked your homemade post. Like the idea of the bananna peels and the co2. I was thinking there is not much c02 where my plants are so I may try the yeast and sugar in a bottle, when it is shaken the lid is on, is there any fizz or expansion when the lid is taken off?

Hey man . have you ever tried to brew alchahol before ? There's these things we call trumpets over here it's kind of a cork lid with a plastic air trap in it with a ball that lets the air/co2 out but not let anything back in have a look in to one of those if your gonna do the bottle thing may make it last a lot longer it come
Up on google as brewing trub but know it's not what they are called its the thing on top of the bottle
