New pics update. I think they are progressing nicely. Lessons learned from first time thru...lol. More importantly, I'm really interested in opinions regarding next steps with regards to topping or Lst and when that should be taking place? The smallest plant pictured is the Gellato. The other three are Green Crack.

Keep 4 sets of new leaves and top the Fifth. Looks like one plant has a funny leaf!
Early on many funny things show up they resolve themselves soon enough. LST
can begin relatively early. Pull down 4th set of leaves to the height of 3rd set and
secure them down; I use 6" lawn staples from Amazon which work great for this step!

with regards to topping or Lst and when that should be taking place?
Topping depends entirely on how long you're going to veg. I top when they're much taller than most because I have time to veg them for longer, which allows the lower branches to catch up to the top two nodes, which I keep flat after topping. If you are going for smaller plants, then you will be topping lower. Are you thinking of going for just 4 main branches like a quadline or Uncle Ben's?

In terms of LST, it's best to wait to bend them until the bend will be above the outer edge of the pot. That way you will be pulling the plant down rather than sideways, which is not the point of LST.

That was a good read. Thank you. I am on the verge of a perpetual grow so I was hoping I could turn a crop around every 8 weeks or so. I have two different areas im just waiting on getting my light but everything else is in place. Is what I'm saying even possible?

As for the lst. The first time around I just tied down the main branch and besides some helpful direction of some wayward branches during the grow that was it.

Every 8 weeks total? Many strains are 8 weeks in flower!
So what i was trying to say is that while I have one room vegging for 8 weeks, the other room will have already had its 8 weeks of veg and is now in flower for 8 weeks. When its time to harvest I take the plants that were vegging for 8 weeks and put them in the room that I just harvested. I probably could have explained that better ! Lol so...is that a possibility?

So you're going with a veg tent and a flower tent, gotcha! That's certainly a way to do it. But some plants will be in there for longer and some shorter, and that will leave you with vegging plants at different times as well. As long as you can keep things loose then it will work.
Ya..no true time line just some thereabouts. Trichomes are ready when they're ready. Tbh I will most likely give my flower room a head start over my newly vegging plants to ensure that room is available when i need it.

If you will only be vegging for about 8 weeks then I would say topping above the 5th node, if you're not going to run just four branches. But feel free to play around with that as well as gauging what is best for the plant. Tighter node spacing will be different than longer, and if the lower nodes look weak and piddly then you might want to top higher and lose the piddly ones.

I'll have to finish reading your pictorial as I wouldnt even know how to begin the whole 4 branches thing. Lol I will be taking more pics now that there is some action starting to happen. I'll get some close up side views tomorrow as well.
