No mate. the extension lead will be rated 13amps and the wiring will be rated for no more than 13 amps. if you plug all 3 in ( they wouldn't fit side by side on an a 4 gang extension lead anyways ) on start up 3 600s will fire up 21 amps for about 3 minutes or until full brightness then it will settle down to about 9-12amps. that extension will either fry the wires and cause a fire or blow the fuse. This is why I mentioned you getting a contactor board. if you don't want to make one they sell them on eBay for next to nothing. if that still isn't an option you could plug the timers into the main wall sockets. but obviously you will need 3 sockets to take 3 timers. Its up to you though mate. chance it if you want with all 3 but I wouldn't and I don't recommend it. perhaps if I had no choice I would run 2 from the extension lead but that is its max load/ nothing else to be plugged in on that lead... then you just have to find another socket to run the third light.

Hi mate. Sorry for the delay in replying....been a bit hectic with the new Grand daughter and hanging doors today lol :)
Regards the sparks.....I have got 3 double sockets in the room so I'll use 1 in each :) Will it be ok to run the fans off the remaining supply though using a 3-4 gang extension?
Shopping.....well, I got a few pennies today so tomorrow or Wed its off to get the "plug n grow" starters, then the Coco, Perlite n nutes. I'll see what I can do ref pics :)

Yeah thought you would be busy with the new addition to the family. Yes the fans will be fine to run off a 13a extension lead. Iv got all my fans on a 4 gang. What you thinking coco wise? Canna pro or super 3C. I'm deffo going for the super 3C next time round. I'mgoing to update tthe diary after kids have hit the sack. Plenty of new pics :)

Going to take a look at your update.....love a bit of green porn lol :ganjamon:. Having an early night though......knackered after 5 days of getting by on 4 hours kip :tokin:. And todays exertions have wrecked me lol. Replacing 3, 50 year old doors. Doesn't sound much but I was on my own and up and down the stairs has buggered me lol :)

not sure if 3C is in the main shops or online exclusive. for the price and what the description boasts seems a no brainer for me really. yeah I can relate I put a few 60 minute fire doors in not to long ago and dam they weigh a ton I had to sack truck them in lol.. no easy work that's for sure.. yeah iv just done the update now mate.. :)
 
Hi mate. Not having a good week buddy :( . Had the Mrs at hospital AGAIN today. Loads of tests on her heart. Not looking good :( Think my planned grow is stressing her too much (you know her job situation). Might start looking for alternative premises.

Hey screwstone, PH is regulated by adding PH Up or down to your reservoir, usually this is added in small increments with a pipette as its usally pretty strong stuff, I only need 3ml per 10L to drop from 7.1 to 5.8. I would also suggest wearing some gloves to protect your skin. You will need a PH pen to check the PH of the reservoir before and after using the PH adjusting additives to ensure its in the optimal range. Nutients play a part it the PH of the solution in the reservoir, the nutrients will help lower the the PH so always check the PH of the water of you have added the nutrients and then make your final adjustment. As to weather or not to use plain or distilled water. This is upto you both types are fine to use, the difference will be in the PPM of the water. Usually disstiled will have a lower PPM as its cleaner so it means you have less unknown nutrients in the water to start with so this means you have more control over what you are feeding yoir girls. As far as those nutrients I havnt used either one. Iv only used Ionic hydro range and hae some.crackinh results with NFT.

I have threw a few bag seeds in a soild cup with soil but didn't get too far started getting gnats and didn't know how to control them. I got this box off of ebay I have everything I need to get started however the PH is a pain in the ass. I started three plants everything was doing well for about a week then I looked in the box and the strongest one just went limp and died on me the other two where not really doing anything.I was keeping them maintained.Far as adding pure water daily and balancing the ph.I think from what I read where I kinda went wrong was not soaking the rockwool first before planting.I read they need to be soaked in a balanced ph water for 30 mins to and hr. It kinda hurt me to see them die and just now grow anymore.I want to try to obtain as much info first b4 I try again. I know there is trial and error but im ready for the journey of plant hood lol. The box did come with nutrients veg & bloom 3 month supply. So the issue for me isn't with the grow system but just how to get started with what I have and maybe me getting additonal/new nutrients.I think I will go with the general hydroponics brand for nutrients.I just need to know exactly what Im looking for and what to get.Any and all help will work.:Namaste:

Are you SURE you got you ratios right? Temps won't effect your ph. Did you do an ec/ppm test? You can use lemon juice to reduce ph levels......great tip from Light Addict there :) Good luck with the grow dude.
 
Hi ! Zoot please help ! My girls poped out from the coco exactly 2 weeks ago, they are now in a 800 ml pot in a mix 50/50 perlite/coco. I started to feed them one week ago first with rizotonic then I added 1,5ml of CocoA and CocoB per litre, just like instructions from Canna says. They are under a 105W CFL , althought they were under a 400W HID for couple of days but they bleached out so I gor scared and poot the CFL back. I also do not have a reflector as I was intending to make a vertical grow.I wather them once the other day some times every day. The problem is that they have 2 weeks of vegetation but are very small. I had a grow in dirt previously and by this time the plants in the dirt where 2 times bigger then what I have now in Coco. I swiched to coco in hope to make a quiker grow not a slower one, what should I do?!
 
Hey Col. How many girls are we talking about? First thing I'm looking at is lights......or rather lack of! Second, what size is your tent/grow room? What ventilation you got?
 
I have 4 girls, the light is quite poor I think, the bulb is Chinese made so the quality of the light is not good. The tent is 1,2m x 1,2m x 2m and the ventilation is about 147m3/h

Hey after you mixed up the solution ready to pour into the res how long are you leaving it before you pour it. Sometimes the results you get straight after mixing up your solution isnt the same as when you test it 3 hours later and its all settled. Learnt this from hydro. Make up a bucket of mix just as you usually would. Ph'd and nutrients test straight after, jot down this info then test again 3 and 6 hours later and see if its the same if it is, we will move on but if it isnt and its spiked you have your answer :) hope this helps

Hmmm tough on really. I never listen to manufacturers to.start with there full of BS. I think you have stunted the coco plants with environmental stress. You need to get your environment dialed in. Switching one light to the other will stress a plant out then you habe temperature fluctuations between HID and CFL, get this dialled in and are you PH-ing to 5.8? Forget rhizotonic for now feed when the plant need it not when you decide to give it to them and start at 1/4 dose. Hope this helps
 
Ok Col.....105w for 4 plants is no where near enough. 600w HPS is the way forward. Mate, the sun hits out 10,000 lumens per sq ft and ideally you need around number. CFLs produce around 70 lumens per watt. You have 16 sq feet so need around 150000 - 160000 lumens. You are getting around 7000 lumens TOTAL. No where near enough my friend.
 
I wather my plants right after the preparation, so I should wait 3-4 hours? What about the light, shoul I put back my 400W HID ?
