Curious' 5th Grow Journal With GSC, Critical+ & A Couple Autos Train Wreck & Bruce Banner

Two weeks after the trim in the 5 x 5 the nine cuttings that were taken off the GSC have all taken to root. This is the first time I have successfully achieved 100% in getting all clones to root. :D All clones were placed in coco/perlite. The ends were cut diagonally and placed into clonex for five minutes before being placed in cups and watered in. Once roots appeared ryzo was used at 1ml/litre.

5 x 5 Day 10 of flower
On friday the 400w MH globes were changed over to 2 x 600w HPS globes. Canopy is sitting 45cm (17.7inches) from the top of the screen. Which is 15cm (5.9inches) in 8 days.
Makes it hard to see in the HPS light. The glasses make it alot better to see and the girls seem happy enough.

Just before lights out there last foliar spray was applied with Kryptomite (spidermites).

Nutrient tank has been rinsed and sprayed with Oxy Plus H202 and let sit for 15mins before being washed/sprayed out and refilled with water and nutrients to an EC 1.8, PPM 5.6 which will move up to PH5.8 after the stretch to help with phosphorus and potassium absorption.

2 x 4
Now not knowing when these ladies exactly started flowering. I'm going to say that they are in week 3 of flower.

The 2 x 4 resovoir also got a clean with some Oxy Plus and refilled with a higher EC1.2, PH 5.8

Tomorrow there will be some light trimming to get some more light and air flow to to flower sites. :peace:

Today's gardening consisted of finishing off the lollipopping in the 5 x 5 hoping it might slow the stretching down a little.
20191117_221134-COLLAGE.jpg

As you can see the stretch is a little how you going... excuse the HPS glasses.
20191117_211623.jpg

The 2 x 4 was getting quite crowded again and alot of flower sites were covered up and needed a trim.

After

That's better, the train wreck seems to have a good start on the trichome production.

3 more clones to hopefully take root, this time they are Critical +

Yesterday a more aggressive super cropping was performed in 5 x 5 to try and keep the canopy nice and even.
Today is day 15 of flower
20191121_214904.jpg

Today they are already on the rebound. It's incredible how reactive these plants can be.

20191120_145923.jpg

They are just starting to throw out their pre flowers. Hopefully the stretch is close to finishing as I really don't have alot of room left.

Over in the 2 x 4 they are approximately 22 days into flower.
20191121_210638.jpg

Train Wreck is still really developing alot of trichomes.

I have noticed with the Bruce Banner she is starting to curl under. I'm not sure why this was happening at first I thought it was from under watering. So after increasing feed schedule she perked up a little but is still very droopy. Am I overwatering her? Hopefully someone can help me out.

Hope everyone's grows are going well :peace:

They have finally stopped stretching, thank god. 65-70cm of stretch, super cropping helped quite alot in keeping the canopy even. The 5 x 5 is at day 27 of flower. The critical plus stretched just a little more then the girl scout cookies. The foam pot raisers under them were removed and the cool tubes were lifted to hook onto the support bars, as they were literally touching the cool tubes. But now they're sitting great now with plenty of room between. Temp is at 25celcius and 40% RH
20191129_150225.jpg

The canopy is very dense, alot of the foliage (literally a 10L bucket from each) was removed on day 21 and it still looks pretty dense. Today was the first day since their haircut that anything else had been removed. Just a hand full from each, each week as to not upset or shock them and stunt flower development.

20191203_022943.jpg

GSC has a greater trichome production then C+ and is handling the high EC1.8-2.0 really well. A reduction in the EC to 1.6 from 1.8 was necessary as the C+ were starting to get leaf curl. Clones have have been reduced to just 5 x GSC for the next run in the 5 x 5, and just 3 x C+ possibly for the 2 x 4's next adventure.
20191203_023854.jpg

Over in the 2 x 4 at day 35 flower, Train Wreck has loads of trichomes but not alot of size in her flowers smelling of sweet but peppery citrus. Quite alot of of browning pistils and looking like she could be ready in a couple of weeks.

20191202_145116.jpg

Bruce Banner is coming along nicely definetly a few more weeks to go, flowers still putting on some weight and trichomes are starting. EC1.4.

Thank you kind sir,
Great gardening, CN. Looks yummy in there. Nice to see the BB perked up a bit. TW looks like a showstopper.
Why thank you kind sir.
Awww man, so good watching the flowers and trichomes develop. Kind of get a little impatient at this stage, checking a couple times a day. Are they getting bigger? Nope same as half hour ago

Ok, I'm kind of freaking out! In the 5 x 5 I have found a couple leaves like this... Does anyone think this might be the dreaded Borg!! I cannot see any mites on the leaves at all, but every photo of mites that I search for online looks very similar? I have removed the couple of leaves that have these markings.
20191213_171303.jpg

Ladies are in day 38 of flower. I have added a second screen to support the long stems.
20191211_031515.jpg

Nutrients have been reduced to a EC 1.2, PH5.8-6.0.
20191211_030524.jpg

As you can see in this next pic GSC are stacked all the way down, where the critical plus on the left is alot more sparse. I trimmed most of the large fan leaves out to the point where I can see through to other side of the tent.
20191214_172247.jpg

GSC, all pistols are still very white no signs of slowing down yet.

Hey CN. Good catch on the possible mite issue. I’m unequipped for dealing with them in flower. Been lucky so far I guess. I know a lot of folk have success with spinosad in flower, and a spray of castille soap has been known to help. (It isn’t the borg until it resists treatment) :goodluck:

Thanks mate, I have been spraying with a product called Kryptomite. It was preventative care spray every four weeks before flower, but I don't like putting anything on them in flower might have to try spot spraying with what i have. Will check out spinosad and castille soap shortly, thanks again :peace:
