Experiments With Blue Cheese - Brassic Style

Good morning all

Welcome to BB's live Chop and Trim

Today I'll be showing you the new kit that will be used for the next grow

and a step by step as we give the girls in Box 1 the chop !

Hey Everyone

Here's a few shots of the new kit as we were unpacking.

Grow space will be provided by a 1m x 1m x 2m high Grow tent.

Lighting is totally new to me, as I've gone for a 5" cooltube with a 250 watt dual spectrum lamp

powered through a 400w dimmable electronic ballast which has a 250 watt setting. The option is

there of course to upgrade to 400 watts on later experiments.

Finally, ventilation consists of 5" outlet carbon filter. 5" ducting and matching fan.

More pics to follow as I get things set up.

Tent Update

A few shot of it now assembled.

For the price, it seems to be of good construction.

A few pin prick light leaks, very minor and nothing to be concerned about.

Good front to side access. Four main vent hose apertures and 3 cable inlets.

Overall I'm very pleased.

So there you have it guys

A 3 plant budget grow all from clones.

Simple box and and lighting - 165 watts for around the first 4 weeks

an additional 75 watts for the last 4 weeks.

Small pots (I'll update on this point later). Budget nutes and just dechlorinated tap water.

Hey Everyone

I pulled the root-ball of #3.

As you can see the plant was very root-bound.

What surprised me was that such small pots - 3 litres or 3 US quarts - could support such tall plants.

Plant #1 hit 40" and the others around 36". I didn't at the time expect the plants to get so tall.

Any thoughts on this guys ?
