Ok, small smoke report.
I decided to roll a J and go old school. Was a bitch to roll, as the sample was quite sticky. Had to use scissors and got a decent hand pump going.
First few tokes tasted like sour menthol. Then it subsided into a typical old school musty taste. I wasn't expecting much with a quick dry and no cure though, so the taste on the first few tokes was a nice surprise.
Effects started with a feeling of expansion behind the eyes. After a few minutes that feeling crept up over my forehead. Felt almost like i was wearing a cap. I've read that headband has the same effect. It does share similar genetics.
This stuff is giggle weed. I'm really happy about that, because I've been looking for a strain that would do that, and the whole time I had one growing in my tent. It's funny how life works sometimes. I kept cracking lame one liners. I couldn't stop myself. My fiancee and I had a great time, laughing at the silliest shit.
It makes you focused and lazy at the same time. Great for talking shit, and watching movies but not so great for doing anything overly physical. I knew potency would be a little lacking taking a sample early and not properly drying or curing. So I smoked a little more than I normally would. Still, the effects were excellent and potency was there which was another nice surprise. It's going to be strong once done.
I'm glad I took a sample, because I like the effects currently and I don't want to lose that happy, goofy feeling it gives you. So I will be harvesting a little earlier than expected. After the great time we had, I honestly now believe that sampling is the best way to determine when to harvest. People get caught up in all the technicalities of this hobby, when really the most important thing is how it makes you feel. I'll give her another 10 days and then chop. Going to take some samples of the blue cheese and black rhino as well now.
