First Grow In 10 Years: DWC Bagseed, Sherbert

Yeah hopefully it’s a no nanna’s free zone, you will be all sweet. Impressive growth with the mars hydro light, will be subded in for sure. I’m into my first dwc grow, I’m similar setup to you kind of.
Thanks man! We hope so as well. Right on do you have a journal going?

Nothing but pistils in the undergrowth! Checked damn near every node tonight, and they all have big white pistils. Even some nodes i was suspicious of have produced pistils. Some of the calyx’s have a tiny stem at the base and was worried that a second would pop up next to them. But they all threw pistils some time during the night.
We couldnt be more stoked to see nothing but female parts still, now 2 days after finding some suspicious growth. :yahoo:
Changed the water tonight due to a little acid rain effect but that was expected based on the readings over the last few days.
New tank has a ph of 5.7 and a ppm of 855

Well she’s still growing like a weed. Buds are starting to look noticeably larger. The smell is getting a little out of control, one filter is definitely not enough.
Topped off the tank last night. Pre top off ph was 6.3 and ppm was 634. After top off the ppm was 840 and ph was brought back down to 5.8.

a little root porn ;)

Some pistils are also starting to turn orange as well. Week 5 starts tomorrow so it appears to be right on schedule.

And the suspicious node that shot pistils the other night.

Well today was a rough day capped off with a rough night. This one is toast. She is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Cut open a few of the lower growth nodes and found under developed nanners left and right. She’s getting the chop in the next day or two. Is there any use for 5 week old buds? The upper tops dont seem to be effected yet but i know its a matter of time.

Well folks she's still growing. We have had so many mixed emotions on this plant and whether or not to keep it. Not having any other plants going, and seeds a few weeks away at least we might as well keep it going and just stay vigilant on the funky flowers. The upper buds are still ripening and the pistils are starting to turn on most of the tops. Still getting fatter and heavier and no signs of pollen contamination above the canopy. We have yet to actually find a single fully developed pollen sack.

If anyone is still watching and would like to see pics feel free to comment in.

Rounding out week 5 with a ph of 5.6 and a ppm of 940ish. Pistils are starting to turn orange and some of the tops really close to the light are getting bleached. Kinda cool looking.

Happy weekend everyone! :ganjamon:

Week 6 water change went without a hitch. Had a little acid rain effect going on in there so it was time anyways. New tank has a ph of 5.6 and a ppm of 875.

also noticed some magenta appearing on some of the upper most buds leaves. :yahoo:

Haven't seen any suspicious growth in days and the buds just keep getting fatter and smellier. Had to add some ONA gel to help the filter out. Starting to smell like a skunk orgy in our yard. Tonight's readings are ph 5.6 and PPM 840 after some minor adjustments. Right in the sweet spot.

Hope everyone is happily growing and having a great night! :ganjamon:

I’m happy the decision to stick it out picking nanners/chopping branches is working out for you, it gives me hope.
Thanks man, so far so good. Figured it will at the very least be a learning experience documented for future growers in similar situations. Especially with you addicts hoggin up all the good seeds!

We've also oven dried some lower buds that were on "infected" branches that were removed and were sent to the moon. So even if seeds do decide to show their ugly bald heads there's at least hope for some semi-decent potency.

@The Phantom True true, and so far i havent found any bananas in any of the actual buds. Not YET at least. Also, none of the suspicious parts we have found have contained any powder at all. So hopefully those were just some "hoax" balls and not an actual threat.

We have done quite a bit of research on this strain, since it came from a dispensary it did have a name. "Sherbet". From what i gather, and compared photos, it sounds like she is a "Sunset Sherbet" indica dominant strain. Supposedly a clone only strain from California, but it's 2020 and these little plants spread like. . . . . weeds . So the claims are a 70 day flower period and we are at day 45. Red hairs are starting to appear everywhere and she seems to be liking lower ppm solution already. The smell is out of control at this point. Making the misses paranoid :lot-o-toke:

Havent said much about the clones we took but all 4 of them have rooted. No clone gel, no heat pad (although we have one), and less than ideal temperatures for cloning and all for of these little buggers rooted. :yahoo: Now they are possibly the worlds ugliest clones, but they rooted. We also found another bag seed from a batch of "Gorilla Grapes". 12hrs in a cup of water then a wet paper towel and it popped. So now we have 4 "sherbet" reveg clones and a gorilla grapes seedling. As per the boss' orders, I was supposed to shut the tent down after this run.

I know folks hide their grows from their neighbors all the time, but anyone ever have experience hiding one from their wife? :ganjamon: Kidding of course!
