Lower Alps Outdoor: Three In Soil

I used to love reading about Bernard's grows up there was really sad to hear the Swiss authorities arrested him and shut him down. Then he went on his starvation to fight them hope he is doing well.
The Hanfbauer

Another week down and everything is looking good. Last week I found a few aphids and their eggs. I gave a good spray with spinosad. The spinosad wilted the pistols a bit, nothing serious. Tomorrow will be 5 days since the spray and I will give a second treatment, hopefully that takes care of the aphids & other pests for the duration.

The temperature is dropping. Last night it was 10 c, today should get up to 24 c with a low over the weekend of 4 c. We should still get some hot days in the next six weeks with lows staying above 3 and average lows between 8 and 12 c.

1st 3 - Peyote Forum Next 3 - Amnesia Fast, then the - Bubba K.

Thanks for looking/following.

It’s been a rainy and cold couple of days; today the high was 10c and the low 6. Tomorrow will be warmer with some sun then an overnight low of 4 and warming up slowly. It should be nice again by the weekend.

There is more yellowing, I upped the bloom and hope that helps the flowers are fattening up nicely. The yellowing is limited to older fan leaves. I still have a some aphids on the AF and am treating them to spinosad.

A bit pic heavy but a good way for me to track.

Getting frosty, here are a couple shots of the AF (2nd 2) three weeks short of the 55 days seedsman says they should finish. We shall see. There is also a shot of the PF which is a bit further behind. My camera is not the best.

They're certainly coming on, but still a bit further to go I'd think. Looking good! :thumb:
Thank you Stunger. I think the AF will be close to the 55/58 days indicated for the strain. When choosing strains, I wanted a fast finisher. Now I see them rushing to finish and think I would have preferred not to rush it. Do flowering days start from pre or actual flower formation? Rainy day today.
You must be close to prime time for starting a garden.

I have been confused in the past as to when to identify start of flowering outdoors. Last year I saw a scattering of first pistils in November but real production of flowering/pistils didn't start until early/mid January. It is different for indoor folk, whenever they flip the lights to 12/12 is when they count as start of flowering. But for me here in the Southern Hemisphere it's January, so presumably the Northern Hemisphere equivalent is sometime in July.

Yes, I will be looking germinate some seeds in the coming weeks, and then it is long'ish wait of tending them thru veg before it's getting to the exciting time, like you're in now!

Its been cold and wet again for a few days so I have had to keep dry and under cover. Its warmed up today and sunny, the buds are loving the warm sun. Its in the low 70's today and will warm to the upper 70's for a bit.

I've been feeding heavy every watering and supplementing soil enzymes & micro nutes. I feed molasses every other watering and add epsom salts every 3rd. Hungry, they would have liked more P&K sooner. The pots are pretty full of roots, not bound but full. When I re-opened the bottom holes last week they were white, fine haired and healthy. The pots last 48 hrs on a full watering.

I've never grown where it gets cold. Overall I am pleased with strains and quality, everything is frosty. The AF has nice orange pistols the PF has a unique bluish color and the BK is picking up, she has green wet looking trics so they don't glisten yet. They all got pretty full but I could have done better. I fully snapped the main stem on the BK at around 7/8 weeks. I let them get cold a few times early on and that stunted them a bit. I also could have up potted instead of planting early in the 5 & used a bigger final pot. For next year I am going build a small greenhouse and add a high cbd. Anyone know of a good high cbd strain?

Hope everyone's grow is going well.

I’ll probably chop the AF in around 10 days, the PF soon after. The BK is around 2 weeks behind in flower and has a longer flowering time. I sampled a few popcorn nugs of the AF dried on the router. The AF has Strong uplifting sativa qualities.
