My 2nd LED Indoor Grow - White Widow x Big Bud & Assorted Supporting Cast

Looking good.... That quick one auto grew great

Cheers Canno.

The colas are certainly nowhere near as big as the WWXBB, but you can't really expect that, but there are lots of them. I'm hoping they'll still fatten up a bit over the coming week. I'll say one thing, she certainly lives up to the name for flowering. I've never seen buds develop and mature so quickly.

Pictorial Update

I wanted to get some close up shots of the auto to show how chunky they are, but the pics didn't turn out so great. The buds aren't huge, but they have filled out nicely and I still haven't chopped yet. I haven't checked the trichomes for a few days, but will do so later tonight.

Just had a closer look at the auto and there are still a number of clear trichomes, but there are also some amber developing as well. Guess I'll be chopping some time in the next week. She will hit 7 weeks of flowering on Wednesday, which is a little longer than the 5 - 6 weeks claimed by Royal Queen.

Day 106
Day 49 Flowering

The Quick One got the chop today is hanging to dry. She has a very unusual grapefruit smell and I can certainly smell her strongly out of the tent.

Shame I couldn't get any decent pics of her. As it was I had to do some colour correcting as the buds looked blue and there isn't even a hint of blue in them IRL.

I ripped out the 3 mystery girl plants about 10 days ago as I finally conceded they wouldn't amount for much. They weren't ready, but they were just taking up valuable light space.

It finally dawned on me what different phenotype WWXBBs I have. I always knew that WWXBB #1 was different as her growth was much slower than the other two, her structure was more sparse and, looking at her tonight I can see that she is much frostier than the other two and is clearly White Widow dominant. I decided to take her out of the DWC and put her in the now vacant top feed reservoir. She didn't like that much and some of her stems and leaves drooped. The stems have recovered nicely, but a couple of fan leaves didn't make it. I read that WW was crossed with BB to increase the bud size and yield and I can see why.

The fat buds on the auto topped and #3 show that they are obviously Big Bud dominant and will yield much higher than #1.

I only have one pic of #3, but will take some pics of #1 and #2 on Saturday. The main colas of #3 still have a majority of white pistils, but some of the smaller branches have 90% amber pistils which caused me to check her trichomes. I was shocked to see amber on the smaller buds as it is only day 46 of flowering. The triches on the main colas are still predominantly clear with some cloudy. I also had a look at #1 and she is also predominantly clear.

I noticed it looked very bright in the other post so I reduced the brightness and reuploaded it.

Cheers Old man, the colas are like that on the auto topped as well.

If you look at the bud in the middle on the left hand side, you can see the pistils are amber.

I have yet to smoke it, but it's described at the seed bank thus :The end product boasts a very generous THC content and produces a relaxing yet functional high that is purely mellow – no anxiety or paranoia.

The extreme sweetness that accompanied florescence has changed to be a far more earthy, yet still sweet, smell.
