One quantum LED light for a 2x4 tent 3000k vs 3500k: Which?

I need one light for the full cycle grow in a 2x4 tent. I am looking at a double board QB setup but have searched here lots and can't seem to decide weather to go with 3000k or 3500K. Which should I get and why?

I would say the 3500k would be best for veg and still good for flower where the 3000k is better suited to flowering, I've seen budget led also do lights with the far red which is also aimed at flowering. Either should do the job.

3500K is a good full cycle choice.

I went with 3000K because if I have to have a light do full duty veg/flower, I want it to be superior in flower than in veg

Go with the 3000k, like stunned said it's better to have a superior flower light.

I guess I should post a poll. Seems to be divided opinions. I respect them all and welcome more. I'll use your combined knowledge to try and make a good choice. Seems there is no bad choice, but I would like to maximize my grow potential.

I would use your single board light in addition to your new double board light, two boards alone are not enough light in my opinion. I assume your single board is 130 watts and new double board fixture is 260 watts total. 2 boards would give you 32.5 watts per square foot, 3 boards will give you 48.75 watts per square foot and much better coverage. Just my 2 cents.

I also would go with 3000K good for both veg and flower. 3000k is better for flower and indoor growers usually have a much longer flower period than veg period.

So I did order a double board at 3000K. I'll add my current board as well as you suggest. Now, what to do with that other tent. I don't have room to have them both up at the same time, so I have to get rid of it.

If you buy LED strips you can mix and match. See my sig below for my light. I run 2700K and 3500K alternating strips. Does the whole job from beginning to end.

It really depends on the type of light you are buying and if it has a balanced spectrum.

I have done personal testing from 3000k up to 6500k for full cycle. All results varied.

Many say you cant flower with 4000k, been there done it. If the spectrum is well balanced, 3500k all day. However, you can still veg with 3000k for full cycle. Many growers do it. Main thing I noticed was slower veg cycle. Again, many factors can play into it though. Personally, its buyers preference.

I have the 3500k but still get 735 nm deep red.. just get one doesn't much matter. They're all good.
