How long you been using the AN stuff? Looks like it's working out for you. All these years I've never bought their products. After exhaustive reading and learning about the plant, soil, nutrients, biology and their interactions, I landed square on AN's page looking for certain species of bacteria and fungi, among other things.
OK, I've got little better to do than buy some test entertainment in bottles.
Now we're in hush hush black ops territory mixing 'organic' soil grows with hydro nute boosts. Shhh.... that's on the down low. Don't let anyone from my journal know....
Also, in a promix like substance we're giving Connie bloom a try with many, but not all, of the AN add on bottles.

lookin good brotha. Just started running my first LEDs. "Don't grow trees with LEDs"...Love it!
Being this new to any grow style reminds me of the days when we spent hours here, reading, chatting and learning how to grow 4' plants in a 2x2 closet corner lol. (Well, me anyway). Now I've got the SCRoG bug because LEDs have visibly less penetration.
How long have you been running LEDs?

My first grow or two I used the GH Nutes that came with the WaterFarms, but immediately switched to AN. When I won the MOTM & POTM I got a bunch of those "Blue" nutes. When those ran out, I went back to AN, but this time with their PH Perfect line.
BTW...your secret is safe with me...I won't tell anyone that:

Yeah, I've been hanging with the "cool" crowd.
I remember those days you speak of. Back then, we used to call you Quixilver and you had just started writing on staffs!
It took me a while to figure out you were you!
I've been using LED's since day #1. NEVER used anything else. Since I've always been growing in small spaces, I wanted to keep the plants short (although, that's not really working out this grow!
) and minimize heat which also reduces need to ventilate and keeps electric bill nice & low.Technically, I'm not allowed to tell you which LED's I've been using so I'll just call them "BS LED's". So, I've been using these BS LED's literally since I started growing. The lights just keep getting bigger! But, I literally just received today the Mars 144x5w and I'm looking forward to giving that a try. My BS 500w light only has 2w LED's so I'm expecting much better penetration with the 5w's.
Unfortunately, I don't think I have enough headroom to try it on this round of flowering.
Do you have a journal up? If not, feel free to post some of your bud porn here!

It's been about 31 days of flowering (38 days of 12/12) and I took a couple of pics before lights out.
I didn't really notice on the plants under the LED, but when I looked at the pics, it appears the Blue OG is starting to develop a Calcium deficiency. I've never had a Calcium deficiency since I've always used plain tap water. With this grow, for the first time, I've been using FILTERED tap water, and am guessing that's the difference, so I added about 5ml of Cal-Mag to the reservoir.
The buds are starting fill out now:
And, she continues to get nice & frosty:
I'll try to get more posted this weekend.

Aaaah yes, that's right-I forgot you always grew with LEDs. Maybe you used to turn them off for most of your photos....

Yeah I miss XLR8 too. He was writing on staffs for a while too lol.
He actually went through some things, and decided to quit cannabis. Not sure if we'll ever see him here again, but I hope he's well.

Yeah, it's a little early and my first time growing the Blue OG, but I think she's gonna get a "normal" res change this weekend. Next weekend, I'll replace the AN Big Bud for Overdrive and run that for 2 weeks, or so, depending on how she's looking, then start the flush. Using a flushing agent I can get a quick flush in hydro, if needed, and if she's not finished by then, she can just finish up on plain H20. Of course, this is all subject to change when I see what she looks like!
I was just going to fly through and your photos stopped me dead in my tracks. Wow! Those are some mighty pretty shots. Thanks. Off to bed now, and that's the last thing I'll see.
Oh bummer. I didn't know that, just knew he wasn't around.
I still have several full gallon bottles of 'Blue' 2 part, as well as liquid seaweed. I still use the seaweed. I invested quite a bit in him, bummer how that went.
What's your experience with the PH Perfect aspect? There is some debate as to whether it actually buffers to an acceptable range, or if the chelating is such that the nutrients are available outside a 'normal' PH. Some claim it's both.

Fresh out of the oven...Canna Coconut Buffalo Cookies!
Made with infused coconut oil, plus some dried blueberries, cranberries, raisins, oatmeal & white chocolate chips.
OK...they should be cool enough now...gotta' go!

Sure, Canna!

Preheat oven to 325* F
Mix Dry Ingredients:
- 2 C Flour
- 3 TBSP Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 TBSP Baking Soda
- 1 TBSP Baking Powder
Mix until encorporated
Mix Wet Ingredients:
- 1 C infused Coconut Oil
- 1 C Brown Sugar
- 1 C White Sugar
Beat until smooth/creamy & add 2 eggs & 1-2 tsp of vanilla and continue beating until well mixed
Add dry ingredients and beat just until mixed
The rest is where it gets fun and you can modify the ingredients and quantities to your liking, but (today) it was something like this:
Fold into mixture:
- 1 C Rolled Oats
- 3/4 C Dried Coconut Flakes
- 1/2 C Raisins
- 1/2 C Dried Cranberries
- 1/2 C Dried Blueberries
- 1/2 C White Chocolate Chips
Roll into "golfball" sized balls and place on baking sheet with parchment paper spaced about 1" apart.
Bake for about 12 minutes. Half way through, I switch the trays (moving top to bottom and vice versa) to make sure even baking.
Let them cool on the baking sheet for 10 min's before moving to wire rack.
