How much was your led light setup? I am looking into diy but after reading for weeks on end I think I know less than when I started. Your rig looks really nice, do u have a parts list with links so I could build my own led? Or is it cheaper to just buy a prefab kit from timber or cob kits?
Oops sorry.

I ordered from one place in US to save shipping and one in Canada.

I can send you a list Friday if you pm me your email.

Very easy to DIY

I agree.

In Canada I'd say 600 and your set for a real nice setup.

For a 3x3 i would pick 9x Vero 29 Gen 7 with reflectors.

Maybe 2x4000k and 1x5000K OR 3x 4000K on a Meanwell HLG240/2100 to get 240W for VEG.

and 6x 3000K on a 320/1400 to get a max 540W for flower

This way you can start slow on veg turning up to 240W what would be 26W/sqft

then when flip to 12/12 dim the 3 veg cobs to 150W and add the 6x50w of 3000K...450W...50W per sqft and some power left if needed

I would also pick active fans like arctic alpine 11 plus and a dimmable power supply for them. I think this light would be great.

I think this one 5000K chip could put out lots of blue for veg and is very efficient, but its not needed. All 4000K or all 3500K would grow fine plants too.

How much would this cost in Canada?

I run 4x 3500 and kill it.

Everyone is over thinking these cobs.

Imagine buying 4 1000 Watt hps to run at 250 a piece?

Makes no sense.

I'd suggest 6 Max.

Each cob means a heatsink.

So by running 4 or 6 your saving cost.

I still say 4 x 1825s is just deadly and economic.

4 x heat sink = 100 shipped
2 Drivers hlg 240h 2100 - 170
Chips = 100
Aluminum " 40
Terminal bar = 5
Wire = 25

$430 for that setup.

The chips and syncs are rough estimates.

I totally agree.. I don't need 50 Cobs running at 10 watts each lol. 430 sounds decent, plus I should have lots of scrap lying around to build the frame.
