Phew! In that case, they seem pretty sturdy then. Can't believe how fast the little off shoots are growing now. They're like 'It's our time to shine baby!'.
After a week of nothing but sunshine and a calm breeze, the girls are looking great. Keeping up with the LST at least once a day, sometimes more, trying to keep the main top nice and flat which is forming many new tops. Today I started to see the very first signs of flowering with some very small white pistils starting to form so everything is looking good. This coming week might be a challenge with the forecast saying there will be 90mph winds all week.
Also, I found this tiny white spider yesterday and was worried it might be a spider mite. After looking at lots of spider mite pics I'm still not entirely sure. Either way this one is no longer with us and hopefully it didn't leave behind any offspring.
Sadly it's been another rough week when it comes to weather. Ridiculously high winds means the ladies have been kept indoors by the window all week yet again. That being said, I think they're actually looking really healthy considering. I've got to give a lot of credit to the led light I bought for keeping them going strong, best 30 bucks I've spent so far. The LST is definitely working its magic, the GSC, Gelato and Californian Snow are turning into monsters with the Blue Dream still lagging way behind. I'm not expecting much at all from the BD but I'll be happy with whatever I get. It's so exciting to see the buds starting to form as they transition into flower.
Last night, in the process of trying to keep the main top flat, my hand slipped and snapped it really badly. It was hanging by a thread so I rushed to hold it back together with some plastic wrap. Here it is today. I reckon it's not making a comeback from this.
On the bright side, there's still around 12 tops in total so it's not a complete loss. I'm trying to frame it as if I've topped it, just really late and really far down.
Almost forgot to give an update this week and I'm already closing in on the start of week 7 in a couple days. Oops.
After the nightmare scenario of snapping the main stem of the GSC, I'm pleased to say after a few days of her not growing much, she's right back in the game and looking good. The Blue Dream has also decided to finally start playing catch up and is looking like it might do pretty well after all. That being said, both girls are still a week or two behind the Gelato and Californian Snow who are really starting to show their flowers. So excited for the next few weeks.
Just wanted to do a quick comparison between what the Blue Dream looked like only 2 weeks ago and what she looks like now. It's kind of mind blowing to see how much she's exploded with growth. Still lagging behind in terms of flowering but I'm so pleased with how she's filled out.
The weeks are just flying by, almost forgot to update. I suppose there isn't much of an update, everything has been going swimmingly the last couple weeks, especially with the Blue Dream. She's now the largest of the four and only just starting to show pistils. I wouldn't be surprised if she goes 16 weeks.
Not much to report, only that they're doing well despite 50mph winds for a few days this week. Crazy to to think I was worried about the Blue Dream flowering early when she was tiny, she's really grown into a beast (much bigger than the rest) and only just started to flower at the start of week 8.
Struggling with high winds again this week but the girls seem to be tough enough to withstand most of it at this point. Having some trouble identifying what's wrong with some of the leaves, not sure if they're just dying off because they're older or if it's a deficiency of some kind.
Looking good on the whole. The affected leaves tend to be older. Looks like the plants are/were pulling K and Mg out of them. However, the new growth looks good - in fact, there’s a little tipping on some. For now, I would remove affected leaves and monitor to see if this is a currently active condition.
I was thinking of using some black strap molasses not only to provide a little Mg, but I also read that it can increase trich production? The tipping and deficiency signs coming at the same time is what has confused me haha. Okay, will do thanks.
I've actually been using a company called Boom Nutrients, I think they're possibly exclusive to España but I'm not sure. I think I might go with BioBizz next time round.
Okay, let’s see what’s going on. The basics - are you using RO? If tap, do you have a water report?
Can you post photos of the labels (include guaranteed analysis, volume and weight) for what you are using? And exactly how much of each component? I will then plug these data into my calculator.
They also came with this feed chart which I've been following with half doses. If it says to use 2ml/L, I'll use 1ml/L instead. Yeah, I'm only using floración after gradually introducing it and phasing out the crecimiento.
The Guaranteed Analysis only shows %s for NPK, and then lists the other elements supplied, so I can’t say anything about Ca, Mg, Fe or S. A water report would be nice.
Anyway, 1ml/L of Floración provides
64 ppm N
39 ppm P
106 ppm K
Adding 0.5ml/L of Super increases P to 69 ppm and increases K to 168 ppm.
These appear to be acceptable values.
However, I think many strains would find their full recommendations for flowering to be a bit much (At least 192N!, 176P!, 444K! , and that doesn’t include the Candy!), and l still don’t know anything about Ca and Mg.
I tried digging deep for a water report but they only seem to be available for bigger cities like Madrid/Barcelona, not so easy down here in the south.
Would you recommend sticking to the half strength then? I only used Super for the first time today and added only 0.25ml/L with 0.75ml/L floración (trying to avoid more tipping). Also what's your opinion on using a little molasses between feeds?
Thanks so much for going above and beyond with the help, lo agradezco mucho amigo.
