2017 Aliens Have Landed! Leaving Behind Elite Ecwam & Deweyponics

I see you're dosing different amounts for each plant. How would that work on a commercial grow and even the hobby grower who wants to keep things simple?

Dude thanks...I'm insane over this!
I am feeding them absalutly nada.
Compared to "2ml per ltr" directions found on every nutrient line out there.
They are growing 1.5 to 2 inches a day. Look healthy.
Have to keep myself in check on increasing dosage.
Can't wait to see how they do in flower.

Me either!!! Nice my friend. :thumb:

I have some case studies that are being done on vegetables.
They feed to a broad spectrum of growth.
So they feed at the level that all plants are healthy and growing. Cut and dry.

Cannabis is like all other high-end ornamental flower.
In relationship to differant strains requiring their own growth parameters.

Right now I am evaluating the recommend ed feeding regime.

I have reduced the nutrients to:
1ml = 20ppm to a gal (This is my base).

Trial and error from here. Going low and slow to build a data base for reference.

Rejection of nutrient ppm level...is new growth will start to deform/twist.

Reduce ppm before nute burn sets in.

Administer Graduated Doses at differant stages of growth.

Two plants same strain individual feed.
Just happens that they are two different pheno types. Or the little one had issues with root drop and development.

Small SOG same strain multifeed.
Going to be interesting.

Microfeeding nutrients allows you to determine HOW MUCH to feed....

By the health and look of your plants.
How much growth in the feeding period.
Amount of fluid uptake.

NOT by loading up a resevior with nutrients....maintaining or increasing that level.

Microfeeding...think of it as feeding your pet.
You put a 1/4 bowl of food down. Come back later and it's empty.
You feed her that 1/4 bowl every day.

She starts to grow bigger.

You put a 1/2 bowl of food down. Come back later....empty.

She gets older....full bowl of food. Come back later....1/4 bowl left.

Do you fill the bowl up? Or leave it alone for a day?

I will feed every day for data.
I will eventually alter the feeding schedule.
For test purposes. Ever other day, bi-weekly. (?)

There is nothing wrong with a resevior sitting at low to nil ppm. When my plants are looking healthy and robust.

When EC gets up to a level. That requires me to do a resivior change. Or a weekly refresh.

I'm not dumping $$$ down the drain.

Damn gotta go...beep beep...

My flying skull nutes are very concentrated. Instead of adding nutes to my rez i mix up the recommended dosage in a 1 gallon container. Then fill my rez with tap water. I add about 1/4 gallon of nute solution to my rez. If i were to add nutes directly to my rez the new growth starts twisting. With flying skull a very small amount goes a long ways. Just have to fine tune my my dosing now. Im sitting at around 400 ppm and thats still a bit to high.

Hey PW!
OK, I see what you mean.
That is the way I will probably feed in the SOG. 6 Gal resivior makes sense.
The Aliens are in 1.5 Gal bucket.
I'll data the minimum ppm required for excellent growth. Than multiply that by the number of plants. This will be a base for feeding. (The same way as your feeding). Than adjust as needed.

I believe 400ppm is high for this nutrient in a Dewey.
Maybe when plants are more mature?

The large Alien was given 120ppm
Dosage yesterday. Resevior is at 50ppm today.
She grew 2 inches, drank a half gallon of solution. And dumped 4EC. In a 24hr period.
Leaves are getting darker. No deformity or twisting.
Topped off with z7 only. No nutes.

Man you guys have some brilliant minds! I feel like a 7th grader in college calculus class. But it's enjoyable to read!! There was a blue lab tool box on Craigslist, retails for $140-$180 online from what I've seen. It was $30. Damn shame I didn't have it to spare, or I'd have bought just to play around with. It's really a pleasure to be able to watch you not so mad scientists!! That's outstanding guys! Hope you have a great day everybody in here. This little gal we adopted, is a mouthy little monkey. She's been gnawing at her bones so much lately, that her jaws are stroooooonggg. Like a crocodile. She's looking more like a pit in her face now, with that terrier type bristled coat. I /we love her to death, but her mouthyness with my kids has me concerned.

Also Cam, cannabis unrelated ?? She also is losing hair around the edges of her eyes. Bc of this & the excessive bone chewing....I'm wondering if it might be anxiety causing it. Have you ever run across it? Such a sweet awesome girl. I just can't figure out what is triggering her to nip like she does at times. Sucks telling all the little kids that just want to pet her, "no sweety, she's not very predictable." She's a popular gal in the hood! Peace love and Sooooo baby!!!

Hello everyone!
Lonestar11 welcome aboard!
Hope you find things fun and interesting.

What a freaking suckfest couple of weeks.
6 VA appointments (each one an all day event), 2 court appointments (cancelled), and a tax overhaul.
Lightning struck our underground power cable (680ft fried in three spots) 40hrs to repair.

GSC Hybrid took a turn for the worse. Lack of O2 due to a bad extension cable.

Soooo, what does a good soldier do?
Adapt, improvise, overcome....????
Muddle along, scratch my ass, and pray/hope...????
Words mean nothing unless applied and executed to our capabilities.

Funds are delayed, or repurposed to keep our businesses afloat.

A hiccup. A bump in the road of life.
Minor setbacks and delayed quest.

12 Aug. Rearrange lights. Added a timer and an extension cord.

15 Aug. GSC

17 Aug. Figured out the extension cable dangling over the lid????
Lift lid moves wire. Contact made pump works. Close lid wire drops. No contact pump stops. "Shit"
2 other pumps in the same proximity vibrates pump. Makes me think it's working by touch.

Moved them to SOG.

Couple pics.

2 Alien clones added on the 19th
Root nubs on the 22nd of Aug.

Harvested the last out of the flower room.
Half low and slow, half hanging.

Aliens are moving along.
I have 6 misters arriving tomorrow.

The little Alien is about to be squashed into a 2 inch hole on the SOG.
Freeing up her bucket and misters.

I will work on this tonight and get a Cloner up and running.

Big Alien needs to give up some more clones.

Pics now, more detailed updates later.

Now I need to work on lights!

BF! WTF! I went through every scenario I could think of. Temps, pH, humidity, water level, nutrients, RO/ distilled water. Voodoo, witchcraft, straight up fowl language.
Same issue with everyone, some faster than others. NOT a Genetics issue.
On track now!!!

I'm sure you would eventually. Like myself figured it out.
The yellowing of the leaves in the beginning said O2. (Thought I had O2).
What? Seedlings no nutes. Minute amount of EFB. Z7.......?
I was moving them into the SOG.
Pulled a net cup???? No bubble in res?
Disaster diverted!
If the leaves havnt narcosis will get their color back.
Bad timing! Feel like the "One legged man in a Battle Royal Ass Kicking Contest". Lol

That's a lot to push through bro, but soldier you are......shows what type of person you are. Great to see how a pro handles business!! You need a chill day bbq'ing round that pool. Maybe train the pups how to play Marco Polo....smoke a bowl, & just watch the doggos!! :thumb:
