2nd Time Growing Hope This Is Better NL

I don’t remember if I asked but should my soil be a little wet going into the 36 hour dark period? @Emilya
Yes, remember that the plant is still growing and developing those trichomes. You kind of want to go into the chop with the plant well watered too, so as to help with a slow dry and a good cure.

Thanks everybody for the words of encouragement and advice. Here’s some updated pics from tonight she’s closer fingers crossed to enter dark period middle of next week we shall see.

Things are looking good my friend. Are you ready to dry and cure your beautiful buds? :thumb:

Update from tonight going to be multiple post of pics I think I’m just about there I’m a little alarmed that some of the sugar leaves are showing signs of yellowing but I’m assuming that’s the plant telling me she is almost ready. She got fed nutes today according to fox farms schedule let me know what you think!

Looks like a slight bit of calcium deficiency right at the end as she works on finishing up those buds. Next run, a couple of weeks prior to this point, start giving a strong calmag supplement. As the buds finish up, the plants are using more nutes than ever before in the grow, and there is maybe a bit of phosphorus and potassium deficiency right here at the end too, which causes so many cases of late grow yellowing that people are told it is normal. It might be "normal" but finishing nutes are out there for a reason... our plants get extra hungry at the end.

Should I be concerned that the yellowing may be harming the bud or am I close to enough to harvest that I should be ok?

that which is being taken from the leaf is being given to the bud... so there should not be a worry that the bud is not getting what it needs. If the leaves ran out and crumbled away before the buds were done, and you still were not supplying the needed nutrient, then and only then would the buds suffer. So yes, you are fine now, and any extra nutes you give at this point probably dont have enough time to be processed and get up there now.... the time to build up for this end was 3 weeks ago. Live and learn... each grow gets better.

@Emilya what do you think is she ready to go Into 36 hours of darkness or should I still keep going? I’d say she’s got mostly milky trichomes and some amber

I’m gonna give it 1 or 2 more days I want to see a little bit more amber on the buds.
Way to go brother :adore: you did it and she looks fantastic.

Now just to get the dry and cure right and I’ll be happy
Have you chosen a method? The cure is just as important as the grow. Ive made mistakes in the past that are heart breaking, are you going to hang the whole plant or cut branches.

I’m going to cut and trim first and hang individually. I have the ac infinity fan setup and I have a separate humidity controller that is set to keep my tent at 45 rh so it will turn on my humidifier which is outside the tent if it drops below 40 and my dehumidifier is in the tent and it will turn on if the rh gets to 50. With lights out and ac exhaust fan on setting 3 it keeps my tent around 64-66 degrees.

I also have an air purifier that I run right next to my intake ducting which also has its on filter on the intake ducting

You want a cool dark spot with minimal air flow. If you run your exhaust fan you will dry too quickly, just a little fan is good. Minimal air flow. Can you get the humidity up into the 60,s so they dry really slow.

Yea I can control humidity no problem at all. So should I just run my little 6 inch circulating fan? And if so should I have it blowing directly onto buds or above or below?
