6 Ladies Cloned Trifecta, 2019, Indoor 4x8 LED

Feeding Week 3 but 7 weeks in VEG.
Second round of this nute mix.

Half dosage FF recommendation
5 Gallon Spring water @ 7.0 natural

Per gallon: —— Total for 5 gallons:
CalMag- 2.5ml —— 12.5ml
Seaweed- .5tbl —— 37.5ml
URB- 15ml —— 75ml
FFBB- 3tsp —— 75ml
FFGB- 1.5tsp —— 37.5ml

We’ll see where this lands after I mix.
Usually @6.8

Think I’ll PH @6.2 this round.
(My experiment)

I didn’t last time and saw defs for the first time.

All mixed up. No adjustments.

Roll with it, or bump it up some?
4 soil samples tested @6.5-7.0 before first feed last week.

Where do you want your soil tests to come in? A urea-based fertilizer will lower the pH of the soil over time. Are you slurry testing or distilled water runoff testing?
4 separate slurry runs from different pots.
3@6.5 on the dot
1@7.0 otd
Combined runoff (about 1.5g +/-.5) from last feed was 6.0 otd.

Should I run 4 more really quick?
Not sure much would change in two weeks.

But it's all the same soil and all the same nutes and all the same water. Weird that one would vary by half a point. Maybe try soil from another spot in that pot.

Or ignore it if the plant looks fine. That's what I would do!
The 7 was from the fresh mix out of a gallon pot that I used to make the void for the transplant into the 3 gallons. There was a handful of overfill leftover in the bottom, so I figured I would check where the pure standalone mix ended up.

Not exactly what I was wanting to see, but Im going to let them roll a day before I respond.

Adjustments made yesterday:

PH’d water from high6/low7 (yellow-greenish-blue) to mid 6 (yellowish)

Mixed URB nutes- 10ml per gallon, 3 gallon glass
Added 1/2 tbsp Black Magic fert to each pot. (Gallon/soil) recommended at day 30 so I may have jumped the gun by 14 days.

Added clay ball soil topper- help disperse water evenly to prevent disturbing the soil too much.

I ran the nute mix through 1 and PH tested runoff at an almost pale yellow. (As perfect as I think it’ll get with this kit) then watered/feed the other girls.

With this first run of nutes, I watered the outside edges just enough to feel the water weight, hit the base of the plant until I saw run off, let it drip out until it stopped, sat back in it’s drip tray.

Switched LED on veg and bloom. (Full spectrum) and lowered from 44” to 38”
The light recommended 32”-40” at 18/6.
Went from 12/12 to 18/6.

Currently 73F@ 36%
It’s supposed to snow so the temps dropped a bit on me.
They’ve been under these conditions for 6 hours dark, and 13.5 hours light as of this post.

Silver Pots- Jack Herer X BOG
Red Pots- Twista X Pure Afghan 7
Blue Pots- Star 47 X OG Grape Krypt

Thoughts?

@InTheShed
This was days after potting.

Right, WH called me in back in March to look at your bugs. 7 pages over the course of 40 days and I lose track :).
Lol! I hear ya.
Probably doesn’t help, me broadcasting your name everywhere either.

And that’s how long it took. o_O
My wife gets so pissed at how long it takes now. I started mixing my nutes at 2:30pm, it’s now 11:37pm.

Last three are cleaned up. I filled in about an inch of new top layer on all 6 because the soil starting to settle.

Jealous one she is. Lol!

They’ve gone to hell the past two nights, but I can’t wait to see them in 48 hours.

I had to leave the lights on an extra 3 hours , to finish, so I moved their schedule up to 5am-11pm to compensate. That help with the folks that want to take a peek at 10pm, and for the late night feedings.
Killed to birds with one stone.
There should never be a reason to open the door now after “dark”.

So a few of plants are showing signs of a problem after that last round of nutes.

I need to water tonight, but not sure if I need to add anything to it. I was going to go straight RO since I just feed Thursday, but does this look like a deficiency or a surplus?

These are from 2 different ladies.
I tested my soil (4 samples-3 times) and got a different result for each. All between 6.5-7.0 with .5 variance up, then back down on the third set.

Here are some of the issues I’m seeing since last feed.

Any advice on what I need to do here?

I did flip VEG and Bloom on my light, but I’m 32” above the canopy so.

What’s the difference between my FFGB and FFBB compared to using a “fertilizer”?

I have granular Black Magic Fertilizer that I thought about using before I water.

If you switch from tap to RO you have most likely eliminated a source of calcium and magnesium, both of which are present in most tap water.
The fert I used compensated for that.
5% cal, .5mag, .35 water soluble.
When I water RO by itself I dose it with 5ml/gal if CalMag.

I’ve been using local Spring Water this whole time. Tap has too much Chlorine in it where I’m at.. you can smell it.

It called for .5tsp Black Magic fert per gallon, and 1tbs per for the Flower Girl. Ended up going 1tsp of BM and .5tsp or FG. They seem to like it.

I have a feeling it’s the soil PH and humidity/temp. That’s why I went with the granular fert this time. The feather meal, bone meal, fish meal, and everything else in the 2 will hopefully bring the PH down some. 7-7.5 is too much for the soil to me. I’d like to be able to nute without PH’ing my water. After mix it sits at 6.8. Id rather my soil test a bit lower and ride the drift upward. Say like a 6-6.2 would be ideal.

I’ve been toying with humidity and temp today to see what they like. I went by the VPD chart, but they didn’t like those numbers. 75F/55% seem to be the numbers. According to VPD @75F I should be at 65-70%, which they do not like. Started folding the edges on me.

I’m about to super crop and top again. The one I snapped the skin on the other day has already healed and has a knuckle Forming. That was all the confidence I needed.

Fed last night with 5 gallons local Spring Water, 75ml URB, 50ml FFGB. 6.3 in, 5.0-5.5 average coming out. Girls look happy.
I biffed a large main on my JHerer. Thought I got too rough, but the top seems to be in good shape. She’s taped/propped up so we’ll see.

I put the clay balls in again, but this time not as thick as before. The tops kept drying out too quickly. I also added two smaller fans to go under the canopy. Seriously thinking about topping again, giving them a healthy feed, throwing the net on, rolling gaslight for a week or so, then flipping.

That’ll give me a few weeks to tackle the thrips on the one plant. Top left. I stripped her down last night, and plan on hitting her and the others with some Neem tonight. She’s a bit thinner than the others. Lol.

I’m going to buy 150 lady bugs and let the room be their home through the rest of the grow. I’m a firm believer in predator mites. They work... for spider mites, not thrips. I had both. I hear lady bugs will handle the thrips, and anything else besides the mites.
Again, another experiment.

Looking good.

Already done brother. Clay balls are Neem soaked. Gonna hit the hay for the night. I got in trouble for having all of those articles in my signature earlier.

Pissed me off at first because I spent a lot of time reading that stuff and it was good info. Lol! Oh well.

Have a good one my friend.
