I credit this obvious solution for a common problem to a fellow medical grower here in Missouri, and with a tip of the hat to the wisdom and common sense that is found in the typical farmer/rancher around these parts.
We were discussing methods when I brought up the chlorine problem, and how I was able to use tap water by constantly bringing in new microbes to offset its killing effect. With a smile he stepped into another room and came back with a Chlorine Filter. Nothing fancy, its just a filter that blocks 97% of the chlorine and chloramine, and that fits on a garden hose.
Major headslap... Duh.
You can find them under $20. Many brands are available. Now I can save my microbes with no extra mixing, and this even works straight out of the hose for the outside organic garden.
