Camaro’s First Grow Journal

Didn’t realize a whole week has passed since my last update.. the ladies are doing ok but the Triple Cheese is further behind than I’d like it to be.. this weekend I’m going to try to clean my cloner and clone the Blueberry Gum which is my prized plant, and the C99, then give the plants a week to recoup before switching to flower. Same order per usual

Soo Saturday night/Sunday morning around 1 in the morning I ended up cutting clones, (6)c99 (6) blueberry gum (2) triple cheese and (2) skunk, flipped the lights to 12/12 and turned on the bloom side of the lights, they’re taking it very well soo far and none of the clones have droopy leaves after 2 days, all are still perked up as if they’re still on the plants, good sign that they’re going to take root. These are the ladies this morning after getting cut the other night, you can hardly tell I’ve cut anything off them, if I had more room in my cloner, I would have happily taken more!

Having some really amazing growth on these gals, yesterday alone the blueberry gum grew 2 inches. The clones are starting to show signs of roots on some, one skunk clone has at least 20 root stubs started, I’m very happy with how the garden is going. As usual, top left is C99, top right Blueberry Gum, bottom left is Triple Cheese and bottom right is Skunk

Life has caused me to cut back a little on my posting but the ladies are growing very vigorously, not even 2 weeks from when I flipped my lights and the c99 and blueberry gum have both grown an additional 14” from when I flipped, nearly 2” a day! Although they are still not showing signs of flower sites, I feel it will come soon. The clones I took when I flipped are all rooted now, 3 a little behind the rest, the 13 that took early are growing massive root zones already, I’ll probably be transplanting those into a box to bring outside today soo I can cut some more clones, the goal is to have a 20 pound outdoor harvest and if I only pull a pound from the closet, I’ll be happy cause the indoor will be head smoke and the outdoor I’ll let my buddies have a hand at. The gals are getting harder and harder to get individual pictures of, but this is where they are at this morning, and also a shot at a blueberry gum fan leaf, I have my fingers spread as wide as I can, and I don’t have tiny hands, and the leaf covers my hand with ease.

I spoke too soon this morning, when I was cutting new clones earlier I noticed pistals forming on all 4 plants towards the upper section of the plants, I’ve usually found them in the center of the plants first in the past which is why I didn’t notice them at first. I took 8 clones from the Blueberry Gum and 8 from the C99, after I took cuts I defoliated those 2 plants quite a bit and feel like I butchered the lower sections but they are going to love it as they get further into flower, I’m going to consider Saturday as day 1 of flower after a almost 2 week transistion period

It’s a good feeling having 4/4 plants turn out to be female, despite being feminized, there’s always the possibility of one being a male, now I can go on with my plans of cloning the shit out of these gals till they’re about halfway they flower, I’m going to pick a plant from each batch of 8 of each strain to be a mother to keep that strain alive, and eventually when funds permit, I’m going to look into breeding my own strains. I’d like to be able to play around with plant tissue culture as well and also getting into extractions for making creams and butters to help those that I know that would benefit from it. And it’s be nice to make a business out of it

After a week I suppose I’m due for an update, the ladies are growing very vigorously, and stretching like crazy now, second batch of clones are nearly all rooted now, the big girls are now a whopping 3 feet tall from the buckets!! I guess I waited a little too long to flip to flower, whoops :lot-o-toke: Hahaha

Newest update, the gals are all over 3 feet tall (taking measurement from top of the buckets not from the floor, they are nearly as tall as me standing next to them now.. packing on some decent weight and things are starting to get SUPER frosty!

Hey @Camaro1691! Nice journal my friend :high-five: It's getting nice and sticky in there! How far are you into flower now?
I'll be around for the rest of the ride! :yummy::ganjamon:

Thanks Irie! It’s getting very sticky, I like the stickyness but I’m not looking forward to the trimming as much because of that lol, I’d say right now I’m roughly 3-4 weeks into flower after they had a 1 1/2 week transition period, hopefully only 4 weeks left, im fortunate enough that it looks like all 4 strains are going to finish extremely close together, thankfully won’t have to stagger my harvest and can get the room back up and going soon after the cut. I’m due for some more pictures of the gals but the short time window I have before and after work to do soo and tend to the plants can get tricky right now (lights go 7-7, I work 8-5, soo I only get 2 hours a day with them if I don’t have to do anything else) but this was taken a day or 2 ago, crazy how much sugar is just popping out of the leaves both top and bottom, I’ve seen it out the top before but not out the bottom of the leaves :hmmmm::passitleft: I’ll make sure to grab a few of the big gals this morning before work. 45 more minutes for lights on! Haha

It will be a tough trimming job for sure, I hope you've got more than 1 pair of trimmers  That's nice and lucky with a multi-strain run, i've got 5 strains going in my setup now 3 weeks into flower and it's looking like they'll all finish different times :tommy: at least it will give me some time to trim them up separately haha.
That's one thing thats awesome about the veg stage, you've got loads more light time to work with. :yummy:
Nice photo! Looks like you got thrich's pushing out everywhere :drool:do you use your trimmings for extraction?

I have a couple times in the past, depends if I think it will be worth doing, itd be crazy not to this time haha. I’d like to eventually get a rosin press, but I’ve done butter a few times and the last time it was wayy too potent, it’s give you a stomach ache for a little while then you’d stay high for hours after it went away. Not my cup of tea, I’d like to make creams for people with joint pain and capsules for those with autoimmune diseases and cancer and whatnot, I’m a little ways away from being able to do that but it’s in the plans, these are the gals anyhow, I try to keep them posted in the same order soo top left is c99, top right is blueberry gum, middle left is triple cheese, middle right is skunk, and the bottom is the rooted clones that should be switched to flower soon lol

Looks awesome Camaro! They sure are getting close to that LED! Very healthy looking clones. :yummy: And i do agree,it would be a waste not using the dank trimmings you'll be getting from this harvest. Using your space really well :bravo:

Yeahh I wish I had flipped them sooner, I need to find a way to get the lights higher but right now that’s the highest I can get them the way the closet is, I’ll need to make a brace for the ceiling to get them up higher, just haven’t had time with life going on. Sometimes the plants get put on the back burner unfortunately, I tried supercropping the few close to the light but the stocks are soo damn thick they’ll break open if I bend them anymore. I’ve always had better luck cloning than starting from seed, and I like the surgical side of it haha. And I thank you again sir, I try to use my space to it’s full potential when I can, I’m really damn close to having a perpetual garden, my ultimate end goal is to be able to harvest 4 plants a month, I know that would put me over a pound, probably closer to 2, which would cover my head smoke and is about the amount that people close to me go thru as they’re constantly having me source their bud for them, may as well start taking a piece of the pie myself. Hoping harvest comes sooner soo I can chop and stop buying marginal weed from the commercial guys that don’t care about quality lol

Alright guys I know I’m long overdue for an update yet again. Last night me and the girlfriend wrestled the undercurrent system from the closet into the big room with only a couple branches getting flimsy along the way, I was able to put hooks in the ceiling and hang the lanky branches that the closet walls were supporting lol. Got the system filled back up and no leaks! Yaay haha. Typical order, c99, blueberry gum, triple cheese, skunk
