Thanks for the empathy SweetLeef! I don't often get sick - once a year? [my mind is another matter LOL] I work with kids so it's gonna happen. On the upside, coughing my lungs up has lead me to appreciate my vaporizer better and has also lead me to make a big batch of cannabutter for edibles.

It is nice to see your girls doing well. Sorry to hear your not feeling so well. I haven't commented in many journals the last few weeks, still kicking myself for ruining my girls. I'm really happy your first grow is going well and looking forward to you harvesting your own grow. Even if it taste like shit (I'm sure it wont) you will feel so much higher because YOU grew this. It's YOUR weed. You took a smal, innocent seed and turned it into smokable product!

This is my second grow. The first was my male plant Hazel that I put through so much shit. I even dumped him on his head in the bath tub trying to transplant him. I have NO IDEA why he kept living. I ate him to prove males do have psychoactive/beneficial properties.

Also, I have to point out, maybe you have not read through enough journals to watch "old timers" with years of experience crash and burn?

And thanks for the Rah-Rah too - I do need them. I'll be honest, I took a little underdeveloped budlette of the very bottom of Grace where it had no business growing, dried it and smoked it in my home made bong [with refrigerated water for the sick...]....it was smooth (!!) and uplifting (!!) so...maybe I'm a believer!

From one small seed is right Colesdad! Amazing! Fingers crossed seeds are making their way too you Sir


On an Update note:

I am letting my cannabutter warm up to room temperature so I can make cookies. If they produce any sort of good effect I will post some photos.

The RH has been all over the place and I am tired of this winter bullshit. I know the problem stems from needing to have the heat running [it has moved from 24 degrees to 31 this morning oh joy] and the heater dries everything out. I know I do not want RH too high for the budding process, nor too low...so...either I figure out RH for the winter or this will be it for growing.

I had planned on making a new start after these Ladies had completed their journey...

Where I live can be averaging 80-99 in the summer with horribly high humidity and fuck you cold with zero moisture in the air. I feel angry every single winter. Last year the actual temp sat around -13 with -20s wind chill.

So the heat is on. Got pans of water out like my Mother used to do. Then oh wait, that is too humid. So.



I ate a cookie. It tasted pretty bad. So 12:00 noon ate one cookie. Should feel anything by 2:00 on to 3:00. My son and his wife are coming to deliver ONA, FF happy frog and perlite from the Big City. And to visit!

Summer is dry here, and I haven't got there yet, no wait peak summer for about 4 weeks is dry....RH down as low as 20%, again I haven't had to deal with that in the cabinet yet...


I'm looking at relatively cheap RH temp controllers on fleebay at the moment. They're made in china, yes, but are component type controller that is designed to be assembled into a finished RH type unit. Instead, we can use the controller to turn on an off a fan, heater, whatever at the output end.

they're about A$12, screw terminals so no wiring/soldering as such.

I'll let you know how I get on, maybe they'll be one in my journal soon...as an example...if I could be so conceited as to believe I can make it work...

Hiya catman... I like the old trick of having water in a metal pan/case.. Like you are doing now. Helping moisten the air.

I would experiment with some in your grow space.. As it is warmer than your room, the water should evaporate quicker and being in a small space it will have a more dramatic effect... Im a gonna do this action if needed in my new confined space..

Like my gran used to have on her radiators years ago. Trying to mimic that really.

Ada's update first. She is 56 days old

I either fed too high on nutrients last feeding or she had a lock out going on so I watered until the PH went back up - Like Grace only with fancy curls at the end of the leaves. She remains alive though!

I got to where I just didn't care and left them both in the closet until "tomorrow" what ever day that was. I don't remember.

It was also extremely cold. I think that is why Grace has purple leaves. She is 60 days old. I think it is beautiful, but I don't know if it is going to be "OK" looks like she's filling in. I think she may have had her last feeding.

These Ladies are going to have to just fend for themselves I think...I am so tired!

Purple is normal, she's gorgeous. Ada on the other hand still needs some love. Possibly up the CalMag in your nutrients. And what's your pH at?

Oh how I wish I were not too tired for photos - I re potted Ada. One is not supposed to do this.

She was really looking worse though. So I put her in a storage tub. I drilled some holes in the bottom and filled with the FFHF soil my son brought. She deserves nice soil...

She was somewhat root bound, her old soil was soggy, grey, old, cold and heavy. It's like she never dried out ever in her life.

If she is alive after work tomorrow I shall take photos. The tub is a nice light blue!
