Seedsman Blueberry - Tried to capture a pistil. I'm almost through the cured nugs from my first grow, the taste is easily my favorite. Biased? Heck yeah! But, I love it so much I stocked up on beans and plan to always have at least one running. Delicious

Purple Badlands duder from Greenpoint. He's been moved from here to there and back, stretching like mad for light he's not getting. Still unsure if I'm going to try collecting pollen...

Parting group shot in the tent - In the back right corner we see a newly added Med GOM Auto and Cackleberry, who has a distinct lime color to it. She's (being hopeful calling it 'she'.) 12/12 from seed, a fun experiment for me.

I've failed to mention Purple Badlands has been chopped, pollen is too much for me and my haphazard set up. All in good time.

Next update will be Dale making fun of himself for the water his girls have been getting... Today is Friday, happy thoughts only! Enjoy

Dale's Indoor Hempy - Mars 300w - 6 Strain Attempt - 2017

I procrastinated too long, and the signs are evident in all the plants. I finally purchased a more reliable ph pen:
420-magazine-mobile1696429031.jpg

Strangely enough I received a water report from the city recently. They rated the ph at an average of 9, and the ppm at an average of 778! Yikes. After filtering through my aqausauna tabletop system I'm getting a ph around 8.5 and ppm around 700.

Ph down will now be a part of my life. I'm going to continue using my filtered water instead of purchasing RO water like I did for my DWC. They've all received 2 feedings/flushes (if you will) of only ph'd (to approx 5.8) water with recommended amount of hydroguard since my water figuring. Let's explore the effects of the 8.5 ph and high high high ppm. All have burnt tips, and the sativa dom JD hermed and has always looked sick. Blueberry has some angry yellowing leaves, too. Blue Mystic's lower leaves are not healthy looking. A shot from above where I can easily pick out the problems

I was adding nutrients (calmag, AN ph perfect trio) at various levels throughout the grow. Jeez, my chaotic set up must really irk any meticulous growers who happen by. I will reap what I sow, and feel silly when such great examples of this art are so easily accessible around here. I'm sorry I'm not following this lead better, 420 family! I'll get there, via a lengthy scenic route! Com'on Dale (haha! I initially mistyped 'Fale'), at least get the step one stuff...

Okay, done.

Flowery pics, even after dumb water - getting frosty:

Long winded, my bad. Happy growing to all.

I like the way you're working thru your issues and I dig the path of discovery you're traveling. You're really just starting on the path... it will take many diversions over the years. Fun stuff to watch from the beginning for us philosophical growers.

How much was ur pen? I'm envious, but I always shy away from dropping a dime on a real one and stay with the $15 variety.

Ladies are getting big. What PPM pen are you using. How often do you water and feed? Your lower leaves look pretty damaged from nutrient burn, looks like nitrogen excess from the pic. I would definitely flush them and see how they do over the navy 3-5 days. Noticed your growing au natural (aka Christmas tree) and was wondering why you don't try your hands at topping (then you can take that to and practice cloning) and singe LST. You will get more larger colas if the light is evenly distributed across your canopy.

Thanks brother!

Yeah, ugh. My water, my ph... I'm really taking the scenic route getting it all nailed down. To answer, my ppm starts at around 700, ph 8.5. Just grabbed a more reliable ph pen. They've all been flushed twice now with only my 'base water' plus hydroguard. This 'base water' I speak of is my tap filtered through a 2part aqausauna system, which I'm hoping leaves me with much less chloride yet plenty of calcium. As for drinking, the filtered water tastes decidely less like pool water. But, it doesn't budge my ph or ppm... Begs the question, "What IS it doing?"

Was just hovering over the girls before lights out. Really amazed they've survived my BS so well. Jamaican Dream shows the most obvious effects, but all have signs to some degree. Definitely need to raise the N now that my ph will be in range.

I did try topping one of these girls, the ever angry Jamaican Dream was topped once and novicely LST'd with some pinching and leaf tucking.
