......."Start another" :icon_roll.........

Couldn't believe I dropped it. And then to find it sprouting...... Damn! No sign of it today. I'll give it another day before I start another. I felt like a real noob when I did that. I guess it's good to get a slap of humility now and again. Just call me Grace. Lol!

Crocodoc, that's a beautiful specimen! Her leaves are just starting to change so you still have at least another week or two. She'll definately beat the 65 day breeder's timeline. Is this your first specimen? What's she growing in? I know I can visit your journal, and I will later, but I like to have that information here for the readers to find.

An enticing one to grow, isn't she? Then you harvest and smoke and think "How fast can I grow another one?" :laughtwo: I believe I've had at least one growing at all times since I planted my very first one the beginning of last year. I can't get away from the beauty and I won't give up the buzz. It really is a unique experience to smoke DDA.

At least you have extras if she doesn't come up. I'll be so happy when I finally get my Mephisto plants out of the cups and into the airpots. I knock one over everytime I step in the tent.

Thanks for sharing. :laughtwo: When you knock them over like that you tend to feel like no one else could ever be so clumsy, or at least that's been my consistent response. Lol!

DDA4 unlocked the creative muse in me. She's the richest in color, the most balanced in perfume (the mix of fuel and berry is almost perfect) and without a doubt, the most potent of the three. A solid two hit high, so of course I'll be smoking her exclusively all day long to get famaliar with the effects. The things I do for science. :laughtwo:

A quick comparison, inspired by my latest love, DDA4.

DDA2

DDA3

DDA4

IMG_155424.JPG

They're all the most potent I've grown to date, but they've increased in potency with each harvest. I'd attribute the improvement from 2 to 3 to the soil - DDA3 was in LOS and her scent is completely unique and my favorite of the three, to be honest. She smells more like a Carnival than a DDA, which can be a little disconcerting when I break her up. She doesn't meet the expectations, she exceeds it with her unique flair. In this regard she's in a class all her own. She did suffer through the extreme defoliation in her last week. I wonder how much that had to do with her terpene expression? :hmmmm:

The improvement on all points (color, fragrance, and potency) with DDA4 has to be attributed to the light. It grew in the same soil as DDA3 and endured the same mite infestation as the others, though not to the same extreme. It's the second DDA to perform this magnificently under the Timber Vero240, although this one was half the harvest of the first. That's my fault for not amending the soil earlier. *sigh*. I'll get better. I promise.

I'm taking the day to do nothing but walk to the store for more coffee beans and stay high exploring this latest harvest. You know what? It's really good to be me. :battingeyelashes: .

There's talk in the forest of another Timber Vero light in my future. I'll know for sure in a day or two. :slide:

This is homegrown deliciousness. You'll never find anything this airy for sale in any dispensary or in any private transaction. What a delight to be able to enjoy this by my own hand. To be blessed with seeing something so lovely and gaining the benefit of this magnificent high.

The next one up under the Timber Vero240 is in fresh soil. :slide:

Hiya everybody... :yummy: Purps in da house ... again!

SS that's some goooood nugetry you have there, props on ya girl. Start another 10 woodya... quit foolin around. I have a shelf in my VEG room just for a lineup of the DDA.. I've got a gaggle going right now... more pics to come. Been concentrating on the "big" girls.

Here's a teaser....

DSCN191110.JPG

SS try some dry sift? This can be easily turned into oil... very minimal processing. Shatter with an iron and some parchment paper. This will kick up your meds & your brownies a notch or 3 for sure. :smokin:

This is the sift first time thru

2nd time thru ..... warning Will Robinson.. the moon the moon... I'm heading to the moon!

Nothing but trichomes here ... I'll be doing some of this with some DD here in a few... saved a bunch just for this. :thedoubletake: :hookah:

It's a fish... no its the beak of a crow holding the stars and the moon!

It´s my first ever Grow, and i´m happy to have 5 other Seeds of this Strain. To the Facts:

Grown in 11L Soil
Using Hesi Nutes
under a 250W HPS Bulb
using LST method
no PH-Testing
no EC-Testing
now at Day 65
new Pics with Magnifier 60x tomorrow

Thank you so much Crocodoc.

I eagerly await the 60x pictures. :slide:

:bravo: Good grief Crocodoc, that first picture made me gasp. I wanna grow one that looks like that!

I just love all the colors, don't you?

Of course you can. I think you are way more experienced than i am, your equipment is better, so why not? Just LST them from the beginning and here you go! There is also a lot room for more, i mesed up a lot with thgis plant when i grew it. But htis strain seems to be very forgiving. And it turned out so pretty, i can´t believe it. This colour is so beautiful. But i have to say, my Nutes made it easy for me. It really seems like Autos like Dark Devil or Blue Dream like it a lot. Here is what i used for it:

Hesi BloomComplex (3-3-4)
Hesi Phosphorus+ (0-5-7)
Hesi RootComplex
Hesi PowerZyme
Hesi Supervit
Hesi Boost

But i also think that Nutes is not the only thing. As a beginner, i thought it would be much easier to control my Grow when i can control Nutes very easy. So i needed a very light prefeeded Soil and began my Search. There is no Growshop nearby so it had to be an easy accessable one which i can buy on my local home depot. Then i found something made by Compo, it´s CompoSana Herb and Seedling Soil. Here is it´s average prefeed:

N: 50-250mg/L Soil
P: 80-300mg/L Soil
K: 100-350mg/L Soil
Salt: < 1,8g/L Soil
pH: 5,0-6,5
preadded Agrosil (Root buildup Accelaretor, tested by LUFA (Landwirtschaftliche Untersuchungs- und Forschungsanstalt) in Speyer, Germany
arround 20% Perlite

This made everything very easy for me, cause i can see every mistake i made with the feeding arround one day later. Once i got the right Mix of nutes, it was easy to adjust it with the Plants needs with every Feeding. And i feeded them nearly every single Watering. I have exact Data for all my Grow from Day 1 till now, including Temps, Humidity, Size of the plant, Bulb distance, amount of Water given to her with what Nutes and Which amount of it and what i exactly did to that Plant for every Single Day. I can share it with you all if you want to. You can see my fails there too. It really helped me a lot to know what i did wrong a few Days ago. I hope some of this information is useful to you :)

Crocodoc...... That would be an invaluable resource. I grow in a couple living soils and I'm trying to learn to run a hempy - it's the curious child in me that insists on trying everything :laughtwo: - but many of our members use bottled nutes, and I'm certain we'd all learn something of benefit from such a share.

I'm humbled that you'd make that effort for us. I thank you for the group as well as for myself. Share away.

I dont know how to edit better, I´m sorry

No need to apologize. Would you be ok with my reformatting?

I take that offer back. :laughtwo: That would be a pain to format any further, and it's usable as is.

Thank you. I'm impressed. Now, let me look it over.

I get this internal conflict going when I wander into the realm of bottled nutrients. There so much propaganda about the differences between plants grown in nutes and in living soil, and I bought into that. I'm also percieved around these parts as a champion of LOS, so when I step off that path it can get a bit noisy for a few moments. :laughtwo: Then I ran my first hempy and harvested a DDA that rivaled anything I'd grown in soil. Now I'm fascinated by the science behind it, so I'll probably take the next year to wander through a few hempy grows and learn to do it right.

I don't know, it appeals to me to know many different approaches. Your share here was insightful.
