The outdoor plants arent getting enough light in the windowsill and it's been too cold to leave them outside on most days.

Oh well, let's hope the weather improves.

Kratky hydroponic tomatoes (super low tech, no airstone required. Just make the roots dive for the water. As the roots suck up the water, more of the root will be exposed to air (that's how you avoid needing an airstone)

Update time. Did my reservoir change. Impressed with the candy queen turnaround. Also got 2x 55 gallon buckets for storing water so I don’t keep having to fill up 5 gallons from my ro filter. Wayyy easier. I should have done this a long time ago

I guess I didn't move my lights far away enough and a few of the tops started to bleach. Just bumped the light even higher. Don't really have any vertical room left now. New light is coming tomorrow and has adjustable brightness. I was considering switching lights, but I'm worried that may stress the plants out. Any thoughts?

For now I'm just going to move the outdoor plants under the light at night. I considering swapping the light out of the tent so I can send my other ledin for warranty service to fix the broken fan blade, but I don't really want to deal with the risk of dropping anything on my plants this close to harvest.

I'm also quite torn as to whether to get another tent, or whether I should try to build a room. Right now the second light is just in the unfinished part of my basement, but I'm terrified of getting bugs in my crop so I won't feel comfortable till I have the plants sequestered.

@Michael Hunt , @Rexer : Should I chop off the bleached parts of the buds to prevent bud rot? I read something like that on another forum, but I'd like feedback from some fire growers ;).

Here's some shots of the vegging plant. Did the final top so now I have 8 primaries and my manifold is almost complete.

Hey @BassBuds thanks for tagging me! Sorry I fell behind, this is actually funny that you've tagged both Michael and I as it's a topic we've discussed. There is no right/wrong way. I'm in the camp for clipping the bleached sections off near the end of flowering- do a search on here for "back building ". I've left it on, and clipped it off.

As far as bud rot, i never considered it a factor with bleaching, the best prevention is tons of airflow and having humidity under control.

I've been dealing with some flooding issues and have to get back to it.

Hey @BassBuds Thanks for the tag. @Rexer is right, we did just discuss this recently in one of our journals. Probably mine since i think we have the most bleached buds growing on here right this moment. I left all our bleached sections alone and didnt trim anything out. We put a lot of effort into controlling humidity though. As long as your humidity is low and you have really good airflow as rex mentioned, you should be fine. Every now and then, give a bleached/crispy bud leaf a tug and see if it easily pulls out. If it pulls out with little effort and you cant actually feel the leaf stem separate from the plant, You may need to bust out the scissors and start digging around for mold.

Thankfully lights tend to cook the moisture right out of the air, so if its bright enough to bleach, its probably dry enough to stave off the rot as well. Unless RH swings real high when the light turns off.

I hope this helps :high-five:

Raised the light up as high as I could put it. Plants seem to be doing pretty well (though I wouldn't say this run is dialed in, way more trial and error). Welp even if they're not pretty, looks pretty strong and big.

Sad news. I accidentally opened the door to the grow room for like 10 seconds an hour and a half too early yesterday. Today I have what looks like seeds starting to form. Am I crazy or did my plant hermie . If it did, what now? Chop it down? This is the beast of a gorilla glue that was in the center getting the most light (and light stress). These were bagseed from a plant that hermied so it would make sense thats what happened to me. Whats my next step? Chop just affected branches? Chop whole plant? I don't want to ruin the rest of the crop. Do I wait till the lights turn back on or try to do it in the dark now.

For it to produce and seeds, it would have to be pollinated first. You’d see little bananas showing up, then opening to expose the the little anthers covered in pollen. Then, after a few weeks, seeds will start to swell.

Have you seen any male flowers? They look like swollen calyxes to me. We have em on every node on all our plants and they look exactly like that. I’d let her ride until a banana shoots out of one :thumb:

I was out of commission for about 4 days in the hospital so my plants got a little brunt, but it also looks like the stress may have driven trichome production since these buds are looking frosty as hell
Candy queen still lagging behind. Showing signs of nitrogen toxicity. Oh well, you can't win em all.

All my plants are finally chopped down. Now they are curing. Final dry jar count around 30, so I'm thinking yield is about 2 lbs.
Most strains came out fantastic. 1 of the plants was drying during a heat wave so lost some of its terps.
Jar count.
Gorilla glue: 7
Front left plant: 4 jars
Rear left plant: 2 jars
Front right plant: 5 jars
Rear right plant: 2 jars
Space candy: 10 jars (glad I didn't kill these. They grew into Beasts)

Here's some shots of the dried buds
